Federal Government is different from Sate Governments.
Presidents run the Federal Government economy. States run their State economy.
City Mayors run their City economies.
Mayors run and manage the individual cities, not the State Legislators.
Detroit has had Democrat Mayors running their City economy since 1962 to the present day.
Democrats and Democrats only, for 51 years of mismanagement and corruption, ran that city into bankruptcy.
Plus the stupidity of the citizens who kept electing Democrats.

When FL Gov. Rick Scott laid off thousands of State workers, it increased the national unemployment rate, as it did when it was Scott Walker, Rick Perry, Jon Kasich, and all the rest of them.

So why do you blame Obama?

Obama is not responsible for any of those numbers.

When unemployment steadied at 5% during Bush, RW-ers argued that equaled full employment, due to job market drop-outs and the terminally unemployed.

So if 5% is full employment, and Republican statehouses are firing hundreds of thousands of people, and the unemployment rate nationally is 7.5 or 8.0, then those firings account for that 2.5-3.0 bump in the rate.

Yeah.. only the main industry of the city.. and supposedly 'saving' that industry (which he did not do) was supposedly to be the boom for Detroit... the ONLY ones that benefited from the 'bailout' was the UAW echelon..

The big government spending and even bigger government intervention is what put places like DET in trouble;e.. and the same practices are what have us in trouble on a national level as well.. and we are getting worse

It is laughable. I expected that Dems would try to avoid the blame. Detroit has steadily been declining for years.

Smaller and bigger cities across the country are managing to stay afloat. The Dems would like to blame another thing on Bush, but not this time. It's years of mismanagement that led to Detroit's downfall and they know it. If it was Bush's fault, then every city in the country would be in the same boat.
