As for China, its about damned time we have a President that stands up to their bullshit. It won't go to war, they can't afford it. Their entire economy relies on exports and their slave labor. Any real trouble from them, tariffs, then sanctions, and they lose all their money inflow. They also need us to pay back a lot of debt, which we wouldn't do if we went to war.

Here we go again with an argument with the historically impaired left. Every war in the bloody 20th century happened during a democrat administration. Woody Wilson told Americans that he would never send their sons to fight in a foreign war and then he had a stroke and his wife sent the Doughboys to fight for France. We had to do it all over about twenty years later when a democrat president sacrificed 3,000 Servicemen at Pearl Harbor to get into the "real war" in Europe. Give 'em hell Harry dropped the bomb on Japan and then decided to downsize the Military just before North Korea invaded the South. He (illegally?) sent Troops to Korea under an executive order and handled the conflict so badly that we lost about 50,000 Troops and ended up where we started three years later. LBJ sent Troops to Vietnam under the guise of a fake crisis and then set the rules so that we could win every battle and still lose the war.

Like it or not, both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars were started and pursued for humanitarian reasons. The U.S. had NOTHING TO GAIN in either case, and we were fighting to stabilize the regions and to facilitate the creation of civilized governments, functioning for the benefit of the respective populations. Clearly, they didn't work out as planned, and hopefully, we have learned a lesson or two.

But the fact that NO DEMOCRAT is ever willing to accept or state these simple facts tells you all you need to know about Democrats w/r/t international policies.

One thing every democrat administration could count on is the total support of the criminal enterprise known as the mainstream media. The media knew about Wilson's stroke and kept it a secret and never called the administration about the flip-flop on sending Troops to Europe. The media never criticized FDR for the negligence or outright criminal loss of 3,000 Military personnel at Pearl Harbor. The media supported Harry Truman and called Korea the "forgotten War" because they didn't dare to criticize the administration. The media supported LBJ's incursion to Vietnam and later blamed Nixon for the whole thing.
