Right Wingers eating crow on price of gasoline. $1.39 in Indiana.

Yup, only the best economy in the world is all. Thanks for the corrupt world depression duh.

We had the best economy in the world BEFORE Barack Obama! His lack of leadership prolonged the "Great Recession" for years in the worst recovery from a recession in modern economic history. As his second term grinds to a conclusion he doesn't even TRY to put forth an economic plan to grow the economy because he's been out of ideas on how to do that since Larry Summers left after the fiasco of the "Obama Stimulus". Under Barack Obama the Fed has been forced to keep interest rates at almost zero for the longest sustained period in history. Why? Because every time they even HINT at raising them the stock market goes into a nosedive. That's not indicative of a strong economy...that's indicative of a weak one!
Your mindless obstructionist GOP has blocked all other solutions, functional moron.

Name an Obama "solution" to economic growth that the GOP has blocked, Franco. Better yet...name an Obama "solution" to economic growth that this President has even PROPOSED!
Everything, functional moron- CHANGE THE CHANNEL. Another stimulus, infrastructure jobs bill, raise min wage, tax the rich and corps more like their fair share and invest in America, free community college and training for 3 million tech jobs going begging etc etc etc. IDIOT.

Speaking of idiot, do you know what the word "broke" means?

Broke means no money. Broke means in debt. Broke means failure.

Why liberals always strive for failure is beyond me.

Already posted and you ignored.

I don't ignore a single one of those links. Specifically the Weekly Standard Gas Price Perfidy one.

It contains a major lie by omission. It omits that Chu backed off his gas-price comment that he wrote in the WSJ in 2008 during his Senate confirmation hearing to become Energy Secretary in early 2009.

Had Chu not done so It is quite obvious that Obama would not have chosen Chu as Energy Secretary with the economy hurting so many Americans from the Great Bush Recession.

That is s huge dishonest omission in one of your blessed RW PROPAGANDA RAGS.

Yeah, we know. The best thing about being a liberal is never having to say you were wrong.

But hey, keep believing that Democrats are for lower fuel prices, the right to own and protect oneself with a gun, not pro-abortion, because that's how the devil works. He tells you one thing when the truth is so in front of your face you have to close your eyes to avoid it.

But keep those palms of your hands against your ears and continue singing aloud. It's why we call you people the uninformed voters in this country.
look at trump you hear him say wrong things all the time ... not once has he ever admitted he was wrong .... my thinking is you Republicans have no Idea in what you're saying ... when a dem makes a statement, you on the right go off the deep end over that statement ... saying all kinds of shit that never happens .... when we point it out to you you say we deams never admit we are wrong ... whys that??? could it be we were right at the time saying it and you can't stand that Idea

What I get sick of is Democrats saying they are not for X when they really are. It's like what Limbaugh says all the time: when Democrats want to win elections, they start talking like Republicans.

Since alternative fuel is not wanted by the general public, how would you force people to accept it?

Well, you can make laws, but there are only so many laws you can make. You can subsidize it like Obama did with solar panels and electric cars. Or........you can make the current fuels more expensive than the alternatives, and people would use alternatives willingly.

DumBama increased the cost of electricity. How did he do that? He placed heavy green improvements on the electricity makers. He even closed some plants down. Does this sound like somebody more concerned about price than his political agenda?

FAQ2 12978941
Are you seriously refuting the reality that Obama wants to price fossil fuels out of the market?

He has stated so several times - it is well established.

Of course it's been refuted and not one of you RW'ers have found any evidence written or spoken that Obama 'wants' to increase the costs of fossil fuels one whit. His actions and policies have not done so either. If he stated such s thing and it is well established one of you RW'ers should be able to post it. It hasn't happened yet. So the lies continue about Obama wanting to increase the price of gasoline going all the way back to 2012.
So the clip I posted with Obama stating exactly that - he wanted to price coal out of the market with added fees - was not evidence in your mind. Was it a doppelganger that made those statements?

He just wanted to make electricity more expensive, to reduce CO2.
At the same time, he wanted to make gasoline cheaper, to increase CO2.
Totally makes sense.
LOL!

At the 30 second mark he says he would have preferred a gradual adjustment.
Because, you see, he's not upset with high gas prices.

Faced with the reality that gas prices at the pump were rising shockingly fast, of course Obama would, as would everybody not associated or invested in the oil industry prefer a gradual adjustment. What on earth makes you think Obama was not upset with high gas prices?

Are you of some belief that the price of gas is always going to go down regardless of increased demand or decreased supply.

The price of gasoline had already been rising sharply when Obama granted this interview. He had no immediate options or authority to stop it. So Obama made a sober response to create options and a means to take the roller coaster ride out of gas prices. We need to develop an energy policy "All of the Above"
that will level out the shocks and stabilize the gasoline prices over longer periods of time. Great for the consumer - great for business.

It's too difficult for those who hate to think in this kind of rational way.

I'm curious, Franco...has the gap gotten bigger or smaller under Barack Obama? Hmmmmm?
It will continue to grow until Reaganist tax rates are changed. DUH.

Darn that Reagan and his top rate of 28%!!!

Things will not improve until we raise rates to 39.6%.
Wait, what? A hike of 41% isn't enough for you fuckwits?
The effective rate is 12% for corps and in the teens for income.

The effective rate is 12% for corps

Yeah, when you deduct things like cost of goods sold and payroll, your rate drops.

and in the teens for income.

So why'd you whine about Reagan's 28% rate?
BS, dupe.
It's all part of the Reaganist rate duh.

Obama's overall energy policy is aimed at reducing costs for all consumers by using everything we have and can invent. It's a net result. You cite one part on electricity but can't be bothered with savings consumers get with better insulated homes and more energy efficient appliances etc. And there is the higher fleet efficiency that U.S. Automakers are now dedicated. Better gas mileage reduces CO2 and contributes to lower prices at the pump.

Just because you can't grasp the big picture doesnt mean 'big picture' thinking about energy consumption and costs is not taking place.

Ah yes...another stimulus like the first stimulus that wasted almost a trillion dollars and didn't produce anywhere close to the jobs that you Progressives said it would? Infrastructure spending like in the first stimulus that Obama finally had to admit didn't produce the "shovel ready" jobs that you Progressives said it would? Raising the Minimum Wage that would cost jobs? Raising taxes that would slow investment and the economy? You have no more idea how to stimulate an economy than Barry does!
I know, a corrupt bubble and the stupidest wars ever would do it. But thanks for all the knee jerk, idiot, discredited talking points, functional moron.
Always so funny.

Libs are always parroting how government spending money on virtually anything at all massively improves the economy creating millions of jobs and then, when the DoD becomes part of the conversation, they decry the largest governmental discretionary spending AND the largest single employer in the nation providing very well paid jobs as destroying the nation.

Yes, cognitive dissonance is strong in the partisans.
" infrastructure jobs bill, raise min wage, tax the rich and corps more like their fair share and invest in America, free community college and training for 3 million tech jobs going begging etc etc etc" is hardly that- and DoD spending goes down the hole of stuff we DON'T NEED, dupe.

Him and his energy secretary stated it in 08, the MSNBC video talked about Obama raising the fuel prices. But it's cool by me, I am enjoying Obama's failure.

Obama was not President in 2008 and he did not have an energy secretary then either.

Obama never said he wanted to raise gas prices - ever. And Chu stated that what he wrote in 2008 was not his policy when he was approved as Energy Secretary in 2009. That is a statement in the Congressional Record and he has not stated otherwise since.

You have nothing to back up what is not obviously a lie. It's a lie because you cannot find any evidence that Obama wanted to raise gas prices while he has been President.

You are eating your crow but not backing up you claims.

Explain to me how it is that Steven Chu's message...a message that he's repeated ad nauseum year after year...that the only way to wean Americans off fossil fuels is for the government to make them so expensive that alternative energy sources become economically viable...suddenly did a 180 as Barack Obama was gearing up to run for reelection?

So you would have us believe that Steven Chu wasn't lying? That he no longer held the view that the government should increase the price of oil and gas to make green alternatives viable? You really are quite naive...aren't you "FooledbyObama"!

So let me see if I understand Obama's "big picture"...we're going to cut CO2 emissions here in the US but the agreement that Barry just signed with China allows THEM to increase CO2 emissions until the year 2030 and only THEN cap those CO2 levels? So we cut our emissions while we allow the biggest polluter on the planet to increase theirs for another 15 years?

Was this the same President that smugly pointed out that a wall across our border wouldn't stop global warming?

How the hell do you sign THAT agreement with China then? Duh?

What imaginary treaty is that? China is going nuts on wind and solar these days, and Obama has made us competitive...

I'm curious, Franco...has the gap gotten bigger or smaller under Barack Obama? Hmmmmm?

When Obama took office Bush's legacy was much worse than whatever the 'gap' you are suddenly concerned about when nearly one million American jobs being lost in a month.

Bush's legacy was a net zero added jobs.

Obama has been adding jobs steadily since turning Bush's mess around. He will leave office creating at least 10 million new jobs.

So now you got to bitch about jobs not being good enough. There is still work to be done, but whatever gap you are diverting to its much better to be adding jobs than losing them.

Income equality is largely a private sector issue except that rich people like Romney don't pay as high a percentage of their income as the upper percentile of the working middle class. The Feds could fix that and Obama has forced the Bush tax cuts for the rich expire. But Republicans buck that effort every inch of the way - clinging to their trickle down theories that never really worked over the long run.

You avoided answering my question, Sparky! Has income disparity gotten larger or smaller since Barack Obama took office?

China is so polluted right now, Franco that they just had to issue a "pollution emergency" for their Capital because air quality is so bad. China is not going nuts on wind and solar...they are burning millions of tons of coal to heat their houses and run their industries.
China's toxic air pollution resembles nuclear winter, say scientists

o the clip I posted with Obama stating exactly that - he wanted to price coal out of the market with added fees - was not evidence in your mind. Was it a doppelganger that made those statements?

The claim you RW'ers are expected to provide
is the one that Obama wanted in 2012 to skyrocket gas prices at the pump for consumers who drive cars and trucks and engage in trade and services that depends on petroleum products to deliver those goods and services. He never said that he wants higher gasoline prices.

I don't know anyone who drives a coal powered set of wheels anymore.

Electric cars are in use and being developed but as they become a good cleaner alternative more electricity is being generated by means other than coal now anyway.

Your coal diversion attempt is further proof that you can't find an Obama quote that matches your baseless claim about gasoline.

Who is the world's worst air polluter? If China is going "green" then why are they demanding another 15 years of increased CO2 emissions before they have to cap their CO2 levels? You're so clueless at times...it's laughable!

The truth is that China consumes almost as much coal as the rest of the world put together.
