Romney "bullying" story false

And lost him the votes, very possibly, that could carry him over the top.

What votes did he lose? The gay vote? They were never going to vote for him anyway.

This hurts him with the center and independents who are far more soft on the issue. It damages him severely with the forty under voters and with female voters. Watch the polls on this.

Michael Steele and other sane leaders are saying he has to get in front of this.

Ahhhhhh, and here we go. The bankrupt, totally in the tank "news media" dig up a story about Mitt Romney that happened in the EARLY 1960's (if it happened at all)!!!! This is the type of hard-hitting journalism that we can expect from those people who get a "tingling" up their leg when they speak to Barry.

And leave it to those like TruthMatters, RDean, Chris and those who blindly follow Barry down the path of destruction to try and make this into something that can counter balance the following:

1. 8.1% unemployment (9.7% if you calculate it the way they did in 2006 - 14%+ if you take into consideration those that have stopped working or looking)
2. Housing starts are abysmal.
3. The absolute worst "recovery" in American history. Even though the recession wasn't as bad as Jimmy Carter's, the "recovery" is slower and more anemic than the great depression of the 30's.
4. Obamacare - 15% rise in health care costs. An additional 15% over the next 4 years. 2 TRILLION dollars in expenses over the next ten years. Stand by to have that revised UPWARD as the CBO is recalculating.
5. 16 TRILLION Dollars in debt and the Democrats show no sign of wanting to change that at all.
6. The Department of Justice - Eric Holder is being held in contempt by Congress for refusing to turn over documents in Fast and Furious. The New Black Panther Party is erecting a statute of Eric because it's obvious they can't be touched, no matter what they do. Congress is going to have to appoint a special prosecutor to look into the GSA, the Secret Service and other matters because Eric can't be bothered with these sort of things. He's much rather spend his time suing Joe Arpio in Arizona, the State of Texas and others.
7. The Department of Defense - The Navy cannot commit to anti-piracy patrols off the horn of Africa. Troops are using SUV's in some areas of Afghanistan because equipment is not available. They have to use duct tape to affix bullet proof vests to the side of the vehicles to act as some type of armor. F-22 Raptors are being grounded due to oxygen problems and the list continues to grow. 600 Billion dollars to be automatically cut further.
8. There hasn't been a budget from the Democratically controlled Senate in over 1,000+ days. Obviously, they don't want to have to put down in writing the ridiculous spending that they maintain.

And the list goes on and on and on...

Oh, but by golly, let's look at Mitt and his dog on the roof incident and now this latest...

in other words, you don't care anything about your candidate as long as he gives you your buzz words.

cool...

job creation higher than at any time during the bush admin

Not too difficult a feat by itself seeing as we experience3d a recession with massive layoffs. Job recovery following a recession is...well...to be expected
stock market highest it's been in four years
Sure it is....we expect that after a recession....with or without government intervention
detroit recovering
Ford required no money whatsoever.....think about that one.
economy recovering, albeit very slowly, despite the best efforts of the right to sabotage this president
albeit, very slowly you say...I sure hope an economy would recvover after a 4 year recession...with or without government intervention
bin laden --- dead
Thank you CIA and troops....and enhanced interrogation
iraq... pretty much done
Yep.....poor Iraqis...their future is bleak.
afghanistan... getting to done... agreements in place.

best part:

the president stays the hell out of my birth control... and reproductive system
Actually, this president did the exact opposite. he is the one who made the mandate...without it, NO ONE would be in your reproductive system...now we have government in it.

You are SOOOOOOOO naive. You are as pathetic as Truthmatters.
no where even close.....

I thought the right already vetted him - a communist, socialist, Muslim, Nazi, born in Kenya.

Well, he's a drug-addict, Marxist, turn-coat that's trying to sell this country down the river to our enemies.........but I can't hold that against him considering his fucked up upbringing.

The guy is suffering from separation issues because his mother moved him away from his father when he was a week old, then drug his little ass all over the world till she couldn't handle him anymore and pushed him off on his Grandparents to raise.

Am I the only one who finds the left talking about vetting someone ridiculous beyond belief? In 2008 the only thing the press tried to find out about Obama was which part of his ass they wanted to put their lips to.

It looks like they put their lips on the center and sucked in royally.

And lost him the votes, very possibly, that could carry him over the top.

Its a fair point. I think it will go away. He doesn't need to get in front of, he needs to ignore it. Its a long time to November and he hasn't even got the nomination yet(officially). There will be plenty of shit to point to get the swing vote to forget this. Like the economy.

It's all distraction gimmicks for the Dear Leader now. He has no record to run on.

"In 2009, Chrysler was sputtering toward collapse, with tens of thousands of jobs in jeopardy. But one man bet that he could save the company and make it profitable again. He's Sergio Marchionne. He'd already turned around Fiat and felt the two companies were a good fit -- and clearly he likes a good challenge. So Marchionne took a $6 billion, high-interest U.S. Treasury loan and promised to pay it all back by 2017. Chrysler beat the deadline by six years. Steve Kroft interviews Marchionne as Chrysler rolls out a new car."

*

Steve Kroft: What do you think of American workers?

Marchionne: I think the world of American workers. What happened here at Chrysler would have been impossible without the commitment that they've shown. Absolutely impossible. When I was looking at this deal back in 2009, I snuck into Jefferson, our plant that now makes the Grand Cherokee. And, I'll tell you if I had any reservations about doing this deal, it was after I saw the state of that plant. And the people that fixed that plant are the guys on the shop floor.

*

Like most of Detroit's automakers, Chrysler was saddled with a stifling bureaucracy, which Marchionne quickly culled. To change the management structure, he combed through the company and found 26 young leaders who would report directly to him.

*

Steve Kroft: Were they on the management fast track?

Sergio Marchionne: No. Some of these people were buried inside an incredibly hierarchical organization that, you know, all pointed to the top. This place was run by a chairman's office.

Calculated-Risk Is
HIP....AGAIN!!

:woohoo: . :woohoo: . :woohoo: . :woohoo: . :woohoo: . :woohoo:

"If you're waiting for the next meltdown in U.S. stocks or in commodities, you may want to get over it.

After several false dawns following the global financial crisis, more investors are starting to believe the current rally in stocks, commodities and emerging markets could be a long-lasting one.

The S&P 500 closed above 1,400 points last week for the first time since the 2008 financial crisis. Investors piled into U.S. equity funds, with the biggest weekly inflows since mid-September.

"Is this risk rally for real? I think the answer to that question is yes, but it's not a straight line up," said Art Steinmetz, chief investment officer at Oppenheimer Funds in New York, managing more than $177 billion in assets.

Oppenheimer is currently betting on stocks tied to upswings in the economy, and is also overweight in riskier bond classes, he said.

Since its recent bottom in early October, the S&P index has jumped 30 percent. But for the first time since 2007, investors are not using the gains as an opportunity to take profits and run away. Instead, the rally has been slow and steady, and investors see the sustained improvement in the U.S. economy as a sign that demand has returned and that risky assets can support higher valuations.

"The prospects for future returns in equities relative to bonds are as good as they have been in a generation," Goldman Sachs in a note Wednesday said."

what a waste of space.....

The false narrative about Romney proves once and for all that Obama is nothing more then a corrupt and sleazy thug from from Chicago.

Romney stated clearly that he did not recall the incident- but it having been so long ago {47 years} that he had pulled pranks and that he was sorry if he had harmed anyone.

But Obama and his scabs have participated in grown up lying and bullying... He so dishonors the office and the American people.

The Washington Post is forced to edit its Mitt Romney gay bullying story because it contained false reporting.

It has been known for quite some time that the mainstream media is nothing more than a propaganda arm for the Democrat party, that is not new, but what is new is the way the mainstream media has thrown away its journalistic integrity in recent days. It used to just be the case that there was a liberal bias to most of what was seen and heard in the mainstream media, and that was easy enough to deal with, but lately they have stooped to lying and falsifying evidence to push the narrative they wish to see advanced. And that isn’t so easily dealt with.

We first saw the most glaring examples of this during the Zimmerman/Martin fiasco down in Florida when, in an attempt to push a hate crime and anti-gun agenda, NBC, CBS, and CNN all were caught altering the so-called evidence in the case. All three stations eventually had to backtrack from their outright false reporting.

more

Romney may or may not have engaged in the behavior alleged but the story will require a full vetting before anyone, even someone as unbiased and intelligent as clevergirl, can be convinced of its veracity.

Given that CrusaderFrank, another highly intelligent and unbiased person of interest ... LOL, sarcasm has its limits.

and your unbiased i suppose?.....

While not sold on Miit Romney or for that matter President Obama just yet, these sort of stories border on the absurd. All of us in our youth have done some things that by todays PC standard can take some aback. In fact if one were to go to any Military training facility they would find some things they might not like or seem out of line. It's not surprising then that in a political atmosphere that these kinds of nonsense stories come to the surface. They tell us nothing about the man now, nor do they tell us anything about what the man plans to do if he does get elected to the Office. While yes it makes news and stirs things up a little, it's much the same as Former President Bush and his DUI in 1976 as we all saw that was not an indication that the former President was prone to get into the Presidential limo for beer runs. So to this story is a little much.

What is key, is how he responds to it now. It's a sign of leadership. You don't forget an episode like that. Most of us would have a sense of shame about it. Claiming that you don't recall it, and then apologizing for it, shows the leadership skills of a moron. You just can't keep on talking out both sides of your mouth, and expect that people will buy into you, and give you their trust.

If he'd have just come out and said that he always felt ashamed of what he did to John, and regretted not having apologized to him directly, I would have gained respect for him.

When you add this episode to his failure to stand behind gay adviser, and pushing back against the fundies; his failure to call a woman who said that Obama should be tried for treason; you wind up with someone who's showing themself to be spineless. Certainly not a leadership quality.

because Obama is such a good leader.....

Harry, this can be Mitt's swift boat from which he can't recover.

He has to come out and get in front, be pro-active, apologetic and committed to fair play.

Michael Steele, whom gets on my nerves, is right on this. I don't even have to check George Will and Rich Lowry.

We got a dog-eating 10-year old to compete with this?

Romney already came out and apologized for any behavior or pranks he pulled in High School that would have offended any one.

What more do you want him to do?

Obama has Soros behind him. Soros took down the British economy and he is doing the same to USA with Obama's help.

They are below contempt and will throw their grandmothers under a bus to bring down the USA.

I know I sound extreme but I guarantee it's true.

All Romney has to do is deal with the shit the media throws at him under the direction of Axelrod in a brief way (like he has with this issue) and keep hammering away at
Obama's horrific record on the economy and the lack of recovery for the nation.

And I'm with you. The swing states and the independents are not going to care about a high school incident from 45 years ago.

They want a future. Not more "hope and blame".

This is like the preliminary warm up for a fifteen round, knock down, drag out fight between Romney and the commie media. And here he was thinking they liked him, the moderate.

Obama has Soros behind him. Soros took down the British economy and he is doing the same to USA with Obama's help.

Soros is under a heavy duty investigation up here in Canada by the Canada Revenue Agency. The Tides Foundation.

It's a serious deal. He's using the Tides Foundation to interfere with our energy and environmental policies.

He also waited for the guy to DIE of liver cancer before he ran for pres

did he know he was going to get the cancer?....why was this not brought up when he ran for Governor?....

Why? Perhaps because national news doesn't care about a governor, unless it's something major. They do go through presidential candidates lives with a fine tooth comb.

Didn't you know that?

Maxwell and the others said they were desperately affected by this. "A black spot in their lives". They could have gone to the Boston Herald or a variety of newspapers at the time he was running for Governor.

Hell's bells, they could have gone to any media outlet in the state to stop this *cough* bully from governing a State.

And then if they were so bent out of shape and tormented by the memories :eusa_boohoo:of this alleged incident, they could have gone national when Romney was in the primaries in 2007 and 2008.

Well they should have if they were so distressed by this alleged incident 45 years ago and carried the burden of guilt of the supposed incident all these years.

Why wait till now?
