Ron Paul's Texas Straight Talk 1/9/17: Will Obama's 'Good War' In Afghanistan Continue? [VIDEO]...

700 bases around the world. Make you think endless war can't end. Pretty depressing.

Bring the troops home from the ME.
Right, so that al Qaeda will have a safe haven in which to plan its next 911 style attack.
tmt, they are planning without any problem now, neocon.

Send all the arms etc to the 'good guys' there, get the French and the British and the Italians and the Spanish far more involved, and tell the Turks man up.

American blood is wasted if the Arabs, Kurds, Turks, etc. won't fight and die for their freedom.

The US, along with 'allies' like Saudi Arabia, have been the chief financiers of radical Islamists for many years. It's been proven that ISIS was funded & armed by Saudi Arabia and other Sunni nations in the Middle East. We're the problem.

Our Government often uses radical Islamist gangs to kill those we wanna 'Regime Change.' That's definitely what happened in Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Iraq, and so on. Once the funding and arming dries up, terror gangs like Al Qaeda and ISIS will fade. We just need to implore our Government to make big changes in foreign policy. No more 'Regime Change', and no more awful quagmire interventions. We need to change course.

In fact, they are on the run just about everywhere now, so they may be fantasizing but not planning. This is not a war that can be won decisively with military power alone, but it is a holding action to prevent the further spread of radical Islam, which is a danger to all of us, while we and our allies work out a comprehensive strategy to defeat this radical ideology both militarily and in the war of ideas. For eight years our allies have been so uncertain about what US policy was, that no progress could be made in this struggle, but now the Trump administration is showing a determination to win back our credibility with our allies to move forward.

Withdrawing our troops from Afghanistan will unquestionably make the world more dangerous, just as withdrawing our troops from Iraq did, and keeping our troops there will give us time to develop a strategy for dealing with this issues.

It is always foolish to say we should overthrow a regime, such as in Libya, without asking what comes next, and it is always foolish to withdraw our troops, as it was in Iraq, without asking what comes next.

It's the truth. Without Western/Saudi support all these years, Al Qaeda and ISIS couldn't have risen to such prominence. Just follow the money. It all leads back to the US.

Don't think you're getting it. It's our policies that have created this radical Islamist scourge. Go read some history on Iran and Afghanistan for starters. Radical Islamists have been well-funded and armed for many years.

Now you just need to understand who's provided the bulk of their money & weapons. Hey, i know it's very difficult for average Americans to accept the ugly truth, but we can't move forward and change direction if we don't first accept the truth.

Suggestion that terrorism will stop if only Americans go away is a fantasy.

More nonsense. There are radical Islamists in Saudi Arabia and even in the royal family but the Saudis have been under attack by al Qaeda for years. It may be fair to say that blunders in US policy have contributed to the growth of radical Islam, but it is nonsense to say this was ever a goal of US policy or even a tactic used by the US. The growth of ISIS was a direct result of the US withdrawing its troops from Iraq. It was never a US goal but just an unbelievably stupid US blunder.

Sorry, but it is the truth. Radical Islamists have historically received the bulk of their funding & arming from the US, Saudi Arabia, and other Western allies. Just go do some reading on recent history in Iran and Afghanistan for starters.

It's all about policies. It's what led to the rapid rise of radical Islamist terror orgs. The US and Saudi Arabia are the key players in assisting the rise. Just go read up on some history. Try to be open-minded and not so defensive. Understanding and acknowledging truth, is the only way we can move forward and change direction.

Perhaps if you presented some facts and logical arguments to support your claims they wouldn't seem so foolish.

You know Obama is the only president in history that was at war for his entire term. I guess that's why he won the Nobel peace prize two weeks in his presidency. Lol, I thought liberals were anti-war? Or is that only when a republican is president?

You're just being too knee-jerk defensive. You gotta open yourself up to knowledge and truth. Radical Islamist terror orgs all owe their origins to the US, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and other 'allies.'
