Sarah Palin doing what she said she would do, back conservatives, not just a party.

It is laughable the narrow view a few in here take of this otherwise unknown special election.

Sarah Palin simply did what she stated she would - endorse the candidate she feels best represents the interests of Conservatives. Her support is generating considerable interest in what was a largely ignored political race. By doing so, she is helping to speak for those Conservative-Independent Americans who have felt betrayed and misrepresented by politicians from both Democrat and Republican camps. As such, she is playing an integral role in helping to redefine the Republican Party, and perhaps certain segments of the Democrat Party.

Others such as Newt Gingrich are in this particular case are supporting a purely tactical take on this race - and frankly, having both voices, and others, chime in is fine by me. That is a sign of a healthy and engaged political party. As I stated some time ago, Palin in many ways represents the heart of the new Conservative movement underway, and Gingrich the mind. Both are integral to its overall success.

Absolutely. To those that have declared the Conservative movement 'DEAD"? Try again. And to an extent what we heard that Regan Conservatives were gone, dead and buried are belying it as well.

They think they're gonna get traction by such pronouncements are really fooling themselves.

Otherwise why the attacks upon Palin and other prominent Conservatives?

Fact is? They're scared to death of the upwelling of true Conservatism, and thus thier attacks upon Conservatives. If they were so moot? Then why the attacks if they aren't a threat?

The Liberal Statists are scared folks. Their attacks are proof.

As opposed to Sarah Palin who released her transcripts from all 5 colleges she attended? Right? Come on. His transcripts were sealed just before he announced his bid for the presidency just like every politician who ever ran for public office. Why? If they can trash his pastor, a man who served in the Marines, Navy Medical corp and received three White House commendations, and received an honorable discharge during Vietnam, imagine what could they do with Obama's transcripts?

Even still, we know Palin received a D in economics. We know that McCain graduated 5th from the bottom out of 899 graduating class. We know Bush was a C minus student. Palin told us and Bush told us. McCain boasted about his being at the bottom. Republicans seem to be proud of failure. Go figure.

Sarah Palin's Extensive College Career - The Paper Trail (usnews.com)

Wright trashed himself with his hatefilled, racist, marxist-based preaching. Otherwise, Obama wouldn't have thrown him under the bus. His military service, while commendable, does not erase or lessen his beliefs.

Obama's transcripts would show which classes he took and which marxist professors he admired and sought out. I'd love to read some of his papers from these classes. I can see why he'd want to keep that under wraps. Might look bad.

I'm guessing most against Wright don't have the first clue about things he said. A great example is how often he got attacked for saying 9/11 was our foreign policy chickens coming home to roost. Can I ask all of you something? When was the first time you heard that? Was it when Wright was credited as saying it? Do you know he was only repeating what a former US Ambassador had stated on Fox News? Yet somehow so so so so many people somehow believed it was simply Wright. Pick your own source.
us ambassador 9/11 foreign policy chickens roost - Google Search

Nationalists hate Wright because he is a Brother in Christ who does not put America above God. I don't agree with everything he said but to call him a racist just shows how ignorant people can be when they decide to let their emotions run their mouth instead of doing something crazy like a little homework.

I defend Wright because Fox and Hannity (who has zero national service) and Billo (same plus a sexual harassment law suit for that "Bold Fresh Steaming Piece of Inanity"). However, Wright has said some things I have been very critical off. Of course, one of them is that he did throw Obama under the bus AND attempted to bring harm. I believe it was jealousy, plain and simple.

The difference with some Democrats and many Republicans is the "black and white" issue. And I am NOT talking race. Many, if not most Republicans see things in terms of black and white, good and evil, wrong or right. They can't see shades of gray.

Take Iraq for instance. Republicans have decided it was a "good" thing and that's it, end of story. The truth is there was good and bad.

The good:

Saddam was removed from power.
A "kind of" democracy was established.
Under the constitution women are eligible for a third of parliamentary seats

The bad:

The Christian population was annihilated and their churches burned
Women were sent back to the Dark Ages
Women can't get out and campaign so the seats don't mean anything
Women can't go anywhere without a male escort
The educated have been chased out of the country
The Constitution makes Islam the "National Religion"
All legislation is based on Islam by constitution
All the different factions of religion are now killing each other
The nations infrastructure has been leveled
Our invasion has given al Qaeda a foothold into the country
After destroying their own Christian population, they will never be friends with us, never.
They have a hundred billion in oil money in our banks, but we are obligated to rebuild their country. We will let Republicans figure out why that is.

Republicans will see only the good and refuse to see the bad.

A realist will balance the two.

As an engineer, there is one major rule - "Go where the data leads". What does the data say about Iraq?

I agree entirely with that - the fear and anger from the extreme far left is palpable...

Dodge. Ball.

Got it.

Palin:

1. Betrayed her Oath of Office.

2. Seriously raised taxes.

3. Sold out on the bridge to nowhere to build a short road that literally leads to no where.

4. Supports American Imperialism (much larger government)

5. Failed to defend her own family from public criticism.

6. Failed to teach her own children about responsible sex.

7. Wanted Alaskan resources to prepare for "The Rapture."

8. Preached abstinence only

9. Member of known anti Semitic church

Yes. Dodge. Ball. Indeed.

Fail. Several points already addressed and shown to be false. No links either. 'Nother fail.

Quit dodging and address the oil/windfall tax topic that you brought up, in an attempt to show Palin wasn't a conservative, instead of deflecting with crap.

Quite dodging and answer my question as to whether you are a Palin hater or not.

Palin sided with Alaska Democrats against Alaska Republicans on the windfall profits tax. That made her NOT conservative on one of Alaska's most important issues.

Sinatra and the toids are terrified of another shellacking. They are right to be absolutely scared of it, because they are going to get their butts handed to them (again). And I will me right here to remind them of threads and the post numbers.

If Sarah wasn't an issue with you creeps you wouldn't be here. ADMIT IT Jake is a Mistake...you are mistaken here...YOU and your Liberal Statist buddies are stone-cold deathly afraid of Sarah and the resurgent Conservative movement...

It's OK...we have programs to help rehabilitate you.

Whaaaat????

upwelling of true Conservatism??? - I'm pretty sure we saw that under Bush.

attacks upon Conservatives - Got to be kidding. Palin going on about "Democrats being terrorists" and "Death Panels"? Democrats aren't "attacking", they are "defending" from being "attacked". Who doesn't know that?

Then there is good old Newt:

FOXNews.com - Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich Acknowledges Having Affair During Clinton Impeachment - Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum

WASHINGTON — Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was having an extramarital affair even as he led the charge against President Clinton over the Monica Lewinsky affair, he acknowledged in an interview with a conservative Christian group.

Newt was so "funny". He said his affair was different because he didn't lie. Well, except to his kids, wife, wife's family, his family including his sister, his staff and the family of the woman he was having the affair with, he DIDN'T lie.

What's really funny is that Newt doesn't support equal rights for his "sister" because he believes in, get this, "the sanctity of marriage"? Is that a hoot or what?

Newt isn't quite Conservative for US either since he doesn't support the clear conservative in NY either.

But your deflection is noticed. What the fuck are you babbling about?

Please define "conservative movement" so we know what we are 'deathly afraid" of.

Try adhering to the Constitution dumbass.

Enough said.

“Turning maybe purple in the state means, to me, it’s more independent, it’s not the obsessive partisanship that gets in the way of doing what’s right for this state, and I think on a national level that’s what we’re gonna see.”

That was Sarah Palin talking, about a week BEFORE she got the VP nod, on the issue of Obama's surprising popularity in Alaska.

Sarah Palin, for centrism before she was against it.

A quick question............

Do you think that Bush Jr. and Cheney adhered to the Constitution?

I don't.

The conservative party is underway and Sarah is the new leader. I don't know if she will ever hold office again, but the fact that she can draw soooooooooo much attention from her fans as well as her enemy's tells me she is for real. The tea parties are fiscal conservatives from the democratic, and republican parties. Independents are largely fiscal conservatives who voted for Obama and have been extremely dissapointed in the direction he is taking this country. Sarah rocks and the more she speaks the more and more attention she will get.

You are right on the mark with the concept of fiscal conservative crossing all party affiliations. That is the new direction of the Republican Party. They must not just talk it but walk it. GWBush failed to do so, as did the Congressional Republicans at the time, and the backlash was swift and severe.

Now that same backlash awaits the Democrat Party and the milktoast Republicans.

People are getting truly worried about the fiscal future of this country more than any time in I can recall in my life. Even life long traditional liberals are now complaining that the spending and expansion of government has gone way too far.

Palin will play a prominent role in this reawakening of America's Conservative Movement, but like you, I am unsure she will actually run for office again. Regardless, her influence is, and will remain, a significant force for some time...

I was doing some hiking with two good friends both from the east coast and both have that east coast liberal mentality. Both voted for Obama, against my influence, they are truly regretting that now and have become very concerned about the debt we as a country are running up.

They are expecting their first grandchild and when I told them that their grandchild was already in debt to the tune of $121,000 just to pay the interest on the national debt, they went over that emotional edge. When I told them that we are currently paying $500 million a day just to service the current debt, they became fiscal conservatives and will actively support the tea parties. New converts, Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lol:

It is becoming less and less convenient of late...
