My 2 cents... I live in the midwest. And in a larger town. We have a significant meth problem here. Getting close to an epidemic. Thus many other crimes are on the rise fast.
At the same time however, home break-ins have not rose. You would certainly think so. And the reason for that is that I would wager that a good 70% of homes in this area have a gun. That is a MASSIVE deterrent.
If guns would disappear over several years under such a law. I absolutely guarantee home break ins would rise significantly. And thus, the many other crimes associated with break ins would also rise.
