Senate Report Concludes the Benghazi Attacks Were Preventable

What is the poor pitiful rightwing cult going to do if Hillary doesn't run and the Democrats nominate some governor for example who cannot even remotely be connected to the faux scandal of Benghazi?

Invent a connection?

btw, nobody in normal America is buying the rightwing Benghazi hysteria.

Incredible how the liberal left is so sure they know what everyone else is thinking. My opinion is that most people are trying to make a living and don't even know that Benghazi isn't in America. But that doesn't change the fact that liberals are always so sure but always so wrong.

In your inevitable weasely way you just agreed with me and then accused me of being wrong about what you just agreed with me on.

WTF are you babbling about? You said that Rice was sent out with little input from the WH then denied you said that. Even though on my screen the two were only about an inch apart and I showed you that you were full of shit. No one is agreeing with your idiocy get over yourself.

so you deflect from obama to issa who "released" unclassified information

dummy

People died.

And if you read the reports about a third of it puts blame on the CIA.

They do this, by the way, all over the world.

Two weeks ago the NYT reported and you eagerly agreed that it was a video which caused a protest.
Now it's the CIA...
You'd better find the main water shut off valve because for Obama and his people, this thing is circling the bowl.

I have not mentioned Susan Rice once in this thread.

You must not have gotten the memo that the cover up has been exposed. You can stop trying to blame a video that had nothing to do with the situation.

As I've posted many times, that video caused deadly riots all over the world. Stop being dense. You know how Muslims get when their religion is mocked. They did just what right wingers hoped they would do.

How many deaths were there in other riots? Do you know?

More than 50.

No let-up in protests over anti-Islam film - CNN.com

(CNN) -- Protests sparked by an online film that mocks Islam's holy prophet entered a second week Monday, raising questions about whether the furor is isolated or a sign of broader anti-American sentiment in the Muslim world.

On Monday, demonstrators took to the streets in Afghanistan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Yemen, Lebanon and Iraq. Answering a call from the leader of Hezbollah -- deemed a terrorist organization by the United States -- thousands packed the streets of Beirut's southern suburbs and chanted "Death to America!"

TERRORIST ATTACKS ON U.S. FACILITIES
IN BENGHAZI, LIBYA, SEPTEMBER 11-12,2012

In fact, on pages 20 and 21 of the report, Ambassador Stevens declines multiple offers of enhanced security.

On page 24 it reads:

According to a January 4, 2013, letter from the Acting Director of the CIA,
Michael Morell, "[t]he nature of the attacks suggested they did not involve
significant pre-planning."96

And there are a lot of comments like this one on page 25:

Although it is impossible to draw definitive conclusions, there were
fragmentary reports
from the IC indicating that more in-depth intelligence
exploitation of social media in the Benghazi area, including web postings by
Libyan nationals employed at the Temporary Mission Facility, could have flagged
potential security threats to the Mission facility or important information about the
employees prior to the September 11, 2012, attacks.

And on page 34 it references riots all around the world:

Aiso, there was protest activity in Egypt and approximately 40 other cities around
the world and violent attacks against U.S. diplomatic facilities in Tunisia, Yemen,
and Egypt from September 11-20, 2012.

What started those deadly riots? Duh? From page 41:

Some intelligence
suggests the attacks were likely put together in short order, following that day's
violent protests in Cairo against an inflammatory video, suggesting that these and
other terrorist groups could conduct similar attacks with little advance warning.

The report even says people on the committee disagree with conclusions based on the whatever ragged evidence that was gathered. Read about the reliability of the evidence. It's hilarious. How can you come to any conclusion at all?

Oh these idiot right wingers. I bet not a single one bothered to read this misnamed report.

Far left propaganda is your game.

On September 10, 2012, at least 18 hours before the attack in Benghazi, al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri released a video to coincide with the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in 2001, which called for attacks on Americans in Libya in order to avenge the death of Abu Yahya al-Libi in a drone strike in Pakistan in June 2012.[5] It is uncertain how much prior knowledge of the attack al-Zawahiri had, though he praised the attackers on October 12, 2012 in another video.[123] On September 14, 2012, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula released a statement arguing the attack was revenge for the death of al-Libi, though they did not claim official responsibility for the Benghazi attack.[5] It was later reported that 3 operatives from the group did take part in the attack.[5] Further, an intercepted phone call from the Benghazi area immediately after the attack reportedly linked senior Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb commander Mokhtar Belmokhtar to the attack.[124]

No. Here is what they reported.

"The attack was led, instead, by fighters who had benefited directly from NATO’s extensive air power and logistics support during the uprising against Colonel Qaddafi. And contrary to claims by some members of Congress, it was fueled in large part by anger at an American-made video denigrating Islam."

.....

"One of his allies, the leader of Benghazi’s most overtly anti-Western militia, Ansar al-Shariah, boasted a few months before the attack that his fighters could “flatten” the American Mission. Surveillance of the American compound appears to have been underway at least 12 hours before the assault started.

The violence, though, also had spontaneous elements. Anger at the video motivated the initial attack. Dozens of people joined in, some of them provoked by the video and others responding to fast-spreading false rumors that guards inside the American compound had shot Libyan protesters. Looters and arsonists, without any sign of a plan, were the ones who ravaged the compound after the initial attack, according to more than a dozen Libyan witnesses as well as many American officials who have viewed the footage from security cameras."

OK so although it is hard to find firm numbers let us go with the 50 number because we know it was over 1.

The interesting part is the timing. if you go to the following web site you will see that most of the riots happened AFTER 9/11. After it was implied if not outright said that the riots were over a little known movie trailer. I say trailer because the movie had yet to be seen by anyone at the time. So let's say that the riots, other then the one at Benghazi, were over a video trailer, little seen and little heard of until the POTUS and Rice go on tour stating it was over the trailer.

Now considering we are treating Muslims as a bee hive not to be disturbed because the bees will do what they do and sting you. Did in fact Obama and Rice poke the bee hive? seems to me that by the timing, yes they certainly may have done so. The following is from the linked site. Why would their be protests in anywhere other then in the US?

Reactions to Innocence of Muslims - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

On September 15, 2012, up to 500 people gathered to protest the film outside the United States Consulate General in Martin Place, Sydney, New South Wales. Demonstrators, including children,[234] carried signs with messages such as "Behead all those who insult the Prophet". Police attempted to form a line in front of the protesters however the line broke which caused the demonstration to become mobile. Police used pepper spray and deployed police dogs amid violent confrontations with protesters. Six police officers, several protesters and civilians were injured, two police vehicles were also damaged in the protest. Protesters directly attacked police by throwing projectiles and assaulting officers with banners, the latter led to one officer being knocked unconscious.[235][236

some of them provoked by the video

What is it to you think a "protest" is? Are you fucking blind?
