Alinsky worked for the poor and downtrodden, the tea party works for the very wealthy and the corporations although they just think they're patriotic.
Also Alinsky didn't try to bring down the country like these modern day Know Nothings are trying to do while being led by an alcoholic speaker of the house.The conservatives have moved the goal post so far to the right since the 70's that now a centrist democrat like Obama seems like a radical to most of these posters here.
