Socialism Creates Poverty

Laissez-faire capitalism occurs when you let the corporations/businesses take over the country.
You think that only because you're stupid.

I'm right. Laissez-faire means to leave alone. If the government leaves business alone, it means that businesses get to decide what they can or can't do,

not the government. That means the government is ceding power to the corporations, which means the corporations are effectively taking over.

Under laissez-faire, the power to choose to pollute for example is held by the corporation, not the government. The government cedes the power of that choice to the corporation.
Slippery slope fallacy!
Rabbi Rules!

There's no slippery slope there.

Is pollution regulated by the government in a laissez-faire economy or not?

Would America see fewer poor if we ended Medicaid? That's the biggest socialist program in this country if I'm not mistaken.

So no one wants to tell me how ending Medicaid would reduce poverty?

I thought Medicaid caused poverty, since it is in fact socialism...
It would increase everyone's take home pay and eliminate an inefficient government program.

Venezuela's Chavez was a big hero of the Left here. He came in with a program of Hope and Change that involved every leftist's wet dream: punish the rich, nationalize industry, screw the big corporations.
How'd that work out?

The country is out of basic necessities. Every adverse event was followed by more and stricter government controls. These in turn led to more problems. Price controls led to people diverting toilet paper across the border.
You cannot legislate laws of economics out of existence. Which is what the left here wants.

So a family currently on Medicaid, once the program was eliminated, would see such a huge cut in their taxes that they could afford to buy comparable health insurance in the private market?

lol. that's a good one.

No, a family not on Medicaid would see a huge cut in their taxes such that they could give more charity to orgs that will do the same as Medicaid but cheaper and more efficiently.
Bonus: Are there more people on Medicaid or more people paying for Medicaid?

One of the largest factors for these social welfare paradises in Europe...they do not have to pay a realistic price for their military protection...if they had to provide for their defense in a meaningful way...one that did not factor in the United STates...then those social welfare programs would bankrupt their countries at a faster rate...

True but they seem to be doing fine on their own. Rates of business creation and growth are so anemic in those countries they create an older generation of protected workers and a younger generation of unemployed workers.

Where on earth do charities sufficiently pay for the healthcare needs of the poor and low income people in that country?

btw, since the government is borrowing 1/3 of what it's spending, why would you get a big tax cut from ending Medicaid -

and thus keep the borrowing and debt accumulation at the same level?

I thought you nuts wanted a balanced budget?

If what you said were true we should never eliminate any government program.

Socialism/Communism never leads to sharing the wealth. It only leads to sharing the poverty. This current Communist President is showing us that. He's brought Third World Misery to our country. We even have Ebola here now. What a mess.

"Socialism is a philosophy failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, it's inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Sir Winston Churchill

Rags to Riches is why so many have flocked to the United States for centuries. They don't flock to Socialist/Communist hellholes. In fact, they desperately try to flee them. So it is very sad watching our Country move closer to Socialism/Communism.

The idea that someone could get rich despite being born into poverty, is what this Country was founded on. It's why they all came here. Without that possibility, we're just another mediocre Socialist/Communist State. Get rich or die trying, is what it's all about.

Poor people in the GOUSA don't buy food, they are given food.

That stimulates nothing but morbid obesity in the dependent class.

Actually, the Food Stamp Program is meant as a price support system for the agriculture industry. If you want to talk about one industry in this country that is truly socialistic, it's Agriculture, where the USDA has 1 bureaucrat for every 7 active farmers and good is grown to sit in warehouses.
Yes, this is the fact that conservatives studiously ignore, without food stamps half the grocery stores would go broke and the other half would have to be armored fortresses. Food stamps are revolution insurance, a hungry man is an angry man.

Yeah, right, because people would buy food if they didn't food stamps!

Socialism elevates and celebrates poverty. Make everyone feel that everything is equal and, in the process, lock in a true 1% with no upward mobility. That's Socialism.

You mean when Most Americans lived in abject, industrial poverty?

That 1913? Where the Socialist Candidate got 6% of the vote?
Actually most people in the world lived in the same conditions. The improvement in standards from the previous 50 years far outpaces any improvements since.
