Hey…did you hear about the jaywalker who was convicted of 34 felony counts? He was crossing outside the sidewalk in order to commit another crime, with the “other crime” being 1) this, 2) that, or 3) the other thing.

And why 34 counts? Because he took 34 steps to cross the street, and each step was a separate misdemeanor-turned-felony.
