Student To Jeb: 'Your Brother Created ISIS'

YES!

The Kurds don't

ISIS was founded in Syria not Iraq

Islamic State of Iraq
The Islamic State of Iraq was a Sunni Islamic group that aimed to establish an Islamic tate in Sunni, Arab-majority areas of Iraq. It was formed on 15 October 2006 from the merger of a number Iraqi insurgent groups, including Tanzim Qaidat al-Jihad fi Bilad al-Rafidayn—‘Al-Qaeda in Iraq’—and its Mujahideen Shura Council allies.

In 2006–2008, during the Iraq War, ISI had military units or strongholds in Mosul and in the governorates of Baghdad, Al Anbar and Diyala, and they claimed Baqubah as their capital.

In April 2013, ISI transformed itself into Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, ISIS, IS), which is still active today.

You're welcome.
Wikipedia is not a reliable source. And neither is a 19 year old girl.
But you and OKTexas are. BWA-HA-HA-HA!

Here's some more for you, from 2006: Call for Sunni state in Iraq

The Rump Islamic Emirate of Iraq

You're welcome. It must suck to be dumber than a 19 year old girl.

Didn't happen did it? At least before the dear leader came on the scene.

There was no ISiS when George Bush left office. You did have Al- Qaeda in Iraq which was defeated and run out of Iraq before Bush left office which reformed its self in Syria and became ISIS all of which happened under the current President. I suspect the student is just repeating the talking points of one of his far left professors .

From the BBC........................

IS can trace its roots back to the late Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, a Jordanian who set up Tawhid wa al-Jihad in 2002. A year after the US-led invasion of Iraq, Zarqawi pledged allegiance to Osama Bin Laden and formed al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI), which became a major force in the insurgency.

The tactics of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi were considered too extreme by al-Qaeda leaders
After Zarqawi's death in 2006, AQI created an umbrella organisation, Islamic State in Iraq (ISI). ISI was steadily weakened by the US troop surge and the creation of Sahwa (Awakening) councils by Sunni Arab tribesmen who rejected its brutality. After becoming leader in 2010, Baghdadi rebuilt ISI's capabilities. By 2013, it was once again carrying out dozens of attacks a month in Iraq. It had also joined the rebellion against President Bashar al-Assad in Syria, setting up the al-Nusra Front.

In April 2013, Baghdadi announced the merger of his forces in Iraq and Syria and the creation of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isis). The leaders of al-Nusra and al-Qaeda rejected the move, but fighters loyal to Baghdadi split from al-Nusra and helped Isis remain in Syria.

Tell ya what Blackhawk...............you ought to read the link I posted from the BBC that shows the history of ISIS. Yes............ISIS's roots began under Jr. back in the early 2000's.

In case you didn't notice I stated that ISIS began as Al-Qaeda in Iraq which did start under Bush they were also defeated by the surge strategy and the Sunni awaking which was also under Bush. They emerged as a result of decisions of Bush and then reemerged as a result of decisions by Obama.

Attention, non - far right wingers:

Remember, to many here, everything is Obama's fault.
Sure, all of this may have started because of mistakes made by the previous administration, but that timeline only exists in reality. Remember, you can't force everybody to play by reality's rules.

The key to understanding Bush's role in this situation relies heavily on an understanding of cause and effect, which is only an available method of investigation in reality.

Hence, the communication barrier.

Cheers

It was not GWB's intent to create ISIS; it's one of the consequences of his failed, illegal wars.
Yeah......he created ISIS over 6 years after he left office...

Nope. The organization which later became known as ISIS was already well underway by the time Dubya left office.

See all my other posts in this topic.
It had its beginnings during that time. But that would be like blaming Thomas Edison for you getting electrocuted while improperly wiring your home. You did it yourself bud.
We didn't have to help ISIS along after Bush left.....but that's what Obama did in Syria, Libya, and by bailing on Iraq.

So Obama bears most of the responsibility.

I'm no fan of Jeb Bush but here's the deal: Hillary talks to nobody and the left sets the rules so that a provocative question to the brother of the former president needs to be defended regardless of how ridiculous and self serving it is. It's a common political tactic and it's the only thing the left has in their bag of tricks these days.

How was the Iraq war illegal? You lefties always say this... last I checked it was duly authorized by Congress.
Let me explain it to you. I'm more than a little embarrassed to have to so I will make is "simple".

If someone was accused of murder (in this case, murdering the Twin Towers) and was put on trial but the prosecutor and the judge knew the evidence was fake and the person was convicted and sentenced to death and was finally killed, was it legal? Of course not, It was murder. Even though the jury didn't know the evidence was fake? They were acting in good faith. The jury was told by a judge they trusted, that the evidence was good evidence. So is it the fault of the jury who found the defendant guilty? Or was it the fault of the judge and the prosecutor who provided false evidence? Suppose the judge and the prosecutor said it's the fault of the jury because they sentenced the defendant to death?
See? That's the problem. The jury (in this case, the Democrats) are innocent because they were lied to. They gave the best decision based on the information they were provided. Bush is guilty. He lied.
LOL so the Dems using the same intel as Bush, they supplied it to him,are innocent and still voting yes for Iraq, using said intel, yet Bush is guilty using the same intel??!!
You have to be the dumbest poster here.
Funi Dum Dum. The Intel that the Democrats supplied was that an attack was imminent. And they were right.
The Intel the GOP provided was a lie.
How do we know? The outcome. The evidence. The admissions. It's all right there.

The left? You mean, the blacks, the Hispanics, the gays, the women, the Democratic whites, the liberals the conservatives and all the other members of the Democratic Party.

A college student told likely GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush on Wednesday that his brother, former President George W. Bush, was to blame for the rise of the Islamic State.

The heated confrontation took place at a town hall meeting in Reno, Nevada, according to The New York Times. Ivy Ziedrich, 19, a student at the University of Nevada, approached the former Florida governor to question him about comments he had made during the event. Bush had argued that the Obama administration's weak foreign policy was responsible for the rise of the terrorist group, also known as ISIS, in the Middle East.

Ziedrich countered that Obama wasn't to blame -- and that it was his predecessor's decision to disband the Iraqi army that made the group's formation possible.

"Your brother created ISIS," she told Bush.

What followed was a contentious exchange, according to the Times. Ziedrich accused Bush of "spouting nationalist rhetoric to get us involved in more wars," pointing out that under his brother, the U.S. had spent years in the Middle East, waging "pointless wars where we send young American men to die for the idea of American exceptionalism."

Bush responded by defending the war in Iraq. "When we left Iraq, security had been arranged, al Qaeda had been taken out," he said. "There was a fragile system that could have been brought up to eliminate the sectarian violence."

I totally agree! The student is 100% correct. Jeb can't escape the truth. In fact, the ISIS mess can even be traced back to former President George H.W. Bush when he suckered Saddam into invading Kuwait.
Did you hear finally every republican running including Jeb admits knowing what we know now he would not have invaded Iraq. Can I say fuck you to every usmb republican for not admitting that all these years? How long they defended the invasion. Now every candidate has to admit it or they won't be trusted. And watch if one of them wins we'll invade Iran next.

And them being wrong about this, just like ultimately they are wrong "for we the people" on every issue. It won't stop them from continuing to argue as if they have never been wrong on everything.

Can we get them to admit they were wrong about bushanomics causing the 2007 great recession?

And fuck you back.....I still defend the invasion because it was the right thing to do......and if you had even half a brain you would see that.....sadaam had to go, he violated the cease fire and refused to cooperate with the weapons inspections....and that inspection process was falling apart because of all the bribes of europeans......so fuck you....if you assholes had supported the effort, and not been bitching and moaning we could have had a lasting peace there....we still have troops in Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea and all over the world...the only place we have pulled out...the very places we needed to be to keep a lid on the nut jobs.....
