Truth is----------> Iran would be much harder because of the mountains, sad but true.

That being said, the country itself would probably capitulate in 4 weeks or less, but pockets of resistance would remain in the mountains. Also...…..is depends upon WHEN we went to war. Were it after the election and Trump remained in office, most of the "Marcus of Queensberry rules" would not be in force. No Americans that I know of want war with anyone. But what they despise more is a protracted war that should never be, because the Commander and Chief ties the militarys hands on rules of engagement. Both Bush II and Obama did this, and the enemy knew it. In the process, it caused many of our children to come home in body bags that should NOT have been there.

Trump (I hope) is not that stupid! If/when you go to war, you go to win period, with as little loss of life on your side as possible. Antiseptic war by our side, emboldens the enemy, plain and simple. If our forces in WWII had been forced to fight in this antiseptic manner, we would have LOST!

Also; and it can be proven throughout history--------------->it is 10 times easier to defeat a country than it is terrorists, or an idea. A country has borders. Once you control those borders and infrastructure, the country is defeated. The caveat to defeating Iran if it has to happen is----------->90% of the funding for state sponsored terrorism will disappear too!

And finally------------->anyone who thinks that Iran can stand up to the United States, Israel, and Saudi Arabia is smoking wacky tobbaccy! And anyone else who thinks that Russia and China are going to come to their defense when the only thing that would cause war would be Iran attacking American assets or an allies assets does not know a thing politically. The only thing those 2 countries are interested in is the oil there; especially China. Were the Iran government eliminated, they would have much freer access to oil, as the embargo would be lifted.

Yes, yes, their small hold in the Middle East would be eliminated, but then they would still get a win with access to more oil at cheaper prices, so by that scenario, the only country to be totally losing out would be Iran; and not the people, but the theocracy!
