Scandinavian countries as a whole have been lower. I have no idea why wingnuts insist on comparing Belgium and the Netherlands who are not geographically comparable. Sweden in a sense is lucky, it's sandwiched by it's neighbors all of whom are experiencing less cases and death per capita as well as testing their testing being sub par so we don't really have a very good idea of the extent of their problem.

The point of this thread was that modeling had them at some huge number by May which they likely will never reach.

And yet they are still way worse off than Norway. What was Norway supposed to have? Can you describe to me the quality of the model created for Sweden's 40k death prediciton? Did multiple models predict this? If Sweden was supposed to be at 40k, what was Norway to be by comparison?

Sweden's rationale was that you can't shut down long enough to eradicate. So why bother.
