Taxing the wealthy more will have little to no impact on your life or anyone around you

What does income tax rate have to do with all of those things? The rich got their breaks and it seems they have used them to grow the China economy.
No, cheap people grow China's economy. You know, people who shop at Amazon and Walmart.

Yes because CEOs sent all the production to China.

The American consumer is also to blame, they wanted cheap goods, why can't you liberals ever take some responsibility for your actions? Always trying to put the full blame on CEOs?

Many could be made here. Not like pricing came down drastically, there hasn't been deflation. The savings by going overseas has just filled the rich pockets.
Bingo!!! Taxes are too damn high!!!

What does taxes have to do with it? The rich are choosing to pocket more money by moving manufacturing over seas.

Many companies already pay zero:
20 big profitable US companies paid $0 in taxes

Corporations just send jobs to China or bring foreigners here to work for less.
There should not be a corporate tax, that is taxation without representation.

Yes I get it. You don't think there should be any taxes. Great plan. Pay for the military and infrastructure with no taxes.
That is the duty of the federal government, social programs are not. Thus the failure of social programs.

We wouldn't have such a welfare problem if the rich weren't so greedy.
Wrong, if the government was not so overbearing...

Embrace the suck

Wrong. The government is not so overbearing. Many corporations pay zero taxes.

Again, by who's assessment?

The tax rates are about numbers.

The perception of prosperity is evidenced in the fact that the post-war generation had things a lot better than you do.
Still not the federal governments doing...
You mean the federal government didn't collect those taxes? Where did they go then?
Where they always go, politicians.

So politicians are not part of the government on your planet? That would explain so much. But here on Earth, in the U.S., the 1950s were a time of great prosperity, in large part because the corporations and the wealthy paid their fair share of taxes.

(See, if you wanted to look intelligent, you'd have demanded that I prove those tax rates. Instead, you're just flailing.)
Your "fair share" sounds like taxation without representation.

Taxes never go back to the masses...

Not today, which is the only system you know. It wasn't always like that. Which is why I compared today with the 1950s and pointed out that things were far better for the average American than they are now.

And here are the tax tables you didn't ask for:

We are paying for the so called "prosperity" of the silly 50's now, none of the programs were paid for, they were all formed on credit, and the taking of wealth in the form of taxes, remember the federal government owns nothing, least of all money in the form of taxes.

Nothing is "payed" for ever, if it has to be taken in the form of taxes.

I've already said I'm not pro illegal immigration. But the illegals are fighting for the lowest paying jobs. It does drag down wages, but it is just a small part of the problem. Like I said before it's more sending jobs to other countries and bringing in foreigners for better paying jobs that is doing most of the real damage. What do you not like about what I would do? Do you like big government? My plan would shrink government by having companies take care of employees, that's the only way government will ever shrink.

Aaaaahhh fuck!!!!!!
I'll post it again for the millionth time.
I started working in machine shops over twenty five years ago.
The average hispanic ratio was around 4% when I retired five years ago it was above 80%.
These were jobs you could make a living on. Wages went stagnant in the early 90's because of it and friends I have still in the industry have told me it's gotten nothing but worse.
So when do you start supporting an anti immigrant stance and those who will do something about it?
I just did. Pass the bill, the unworthy will be thrown out and NO MORE.

Stop fucking letting immigrants in PERIOD!!!!!!
When we have an America that is fully employed fine let in some immigrants in as needed.
If they can't work, they'll stop coming. Only way.

But if they do come anyway, your liberal Mayors and Governors will give them drivers licenses.
If you don't, and they have an accident, it's a disaster for the Americans. Same with health care. Pass the gd bill. Pubs just use the whole problem as a wedge issue. A-holes!!

On your planet? That's sad. In America, we're paying the Waltons' taxes for them.

none of the programs were paid for, they were all formed on credit...

Gonna need some proof for that.

Bet you don't have any, just the usual Rightist Rant.

The reason they were better then, less debt.

All social programs were formed to be payed for by future taxes/fees/fines, as it happens now less and less are paying in and more and more are taking out, that's called a failed social program.

So it was NEVER PAID FOR...

Social security is pay as you go, so it is ALWAYS paid for.

I agree with the OP in that taxing the Very Very Wealthy people will do nothing of benefit for me, but it does harm me. Punishing success has a negative consequence on the economy. The resulting mediocre growth affects me.

That is a lie.

They pay payroll taxes, property taxes, excise taxes and generate sales taxes on the sale of their goods and services. They also pay income taxes.

How can that be?
By the time I am that age 5 people will be taking out for every ONE paying in.

Just another failed socialist program...

If they don't have a license, they shouldn't be driving. They have no right to drive a motor vehicle in this country. Besides, Democrats give them drivers licenses so they can cheat elections easier.
