Tell me . . .

Some people are poor because they have a disease. They got cancer or whatever, lost their job because they can no longer work, and have outrageous medical expenses.
Shit happens, if people want to get involved in helping others out - fine. If someone doesn't want anything to do with helping out the so called "poor".
Everyday we are losing more and more of our personal freedoms do to political correctness, the country is sick with the cancer of socialism and it does not even know it. Lol

It is not socialism. I would recommend that you look up what socialism is. No country is going to be able to be healthy and productive with pure socialism or pure capitalism.

And nobody expects that. That would be hyperbole. They should get food, shelter and healthcare.

That is hyperbole, because no one is stopping you from feeding the poor and giving them shelter or healthcare. The fact you may feel better spending someone else's money doing so, is something all together different and disingenuous.

The fact is that charitable donations are not enough. People are too greedy.
So force people to do what other people think is right?
Freedom is beginning to be nonexistent in this country. LOL

Unfortunately, because of inherent greediness, that is what has to be done.

"Are there no prisons?"
"Plenty of prisons..."
"And the Union workhouses." demanded Scrooge. "Are they still in operation?"
"Both very busy, sir..."
"Those who are badly off must go there."
"Many can't go there; and many would rather die."
"If they would rather die," said Scrooge, "they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population."

Them paying taxes and not being able to circumvent paying their fair share is not "punishing" them. They should be contributing to the economy and the people who allow them to have a business to begin with.
Yes, Most business owners have risk in running their business their employees have no idea of the difficulty involved. I own 3 s corps. I have nothing to fall back on except my own discipline. The federal government owes me nothing...

That doesn't mean you don't have to pay your share in taxes. We the people do, and so do businesses.

So you telling me you want slavery, company's can't move..they have to stay were their at, can't vote just accept what taxes liberals impose on them, no matter if they can afford it or not..because you say they can afford it

Slavery? Paying your fair share of taxes is not slavery. ESPECIALLY when we are talking about multi billion dollar businesses. Give me a break. You pity them for having to pay taxes, but you want to throw the poor away like so much trash. Rotten to the core. I picture Scrooge when I see your posts.

No when you see my posts you should see common sense, the guy who fixes the machines to make your life easier .

I have seen the books when I was a plant manger for this small mom and pop plastic place I worked for 5 years ago. It was just a question of math and economics..

3 machines running could only make $150 bucks an hour ~ he could only pay his operators a max of $12 bucks an hour anymore he would lose money.

After 30 years plus of the plastic industry I said enough, I work for a large energy company now.

I know business and economics to a tee because I lived it. I know damn well raising the MW does nothing to gather more wealth..

I know you can't force company's to stay in your state or the U.S.A they can and do move.

Same with people.

You want the government to coddle people by giving them major safety nets...so it don't bother them if a company moves..hey big brother will take care of them.

Have you read any of the links I posted?
Yes I did, even where it indicated that about half of India's support program funds were wasted or stolen. Perhaps the problem you are having with me is that you have confused me for one of the standard nit-wits you are used to arguing with.

Right, because that money ends up going to their own version of "corporate welfare" where again, the rich take from the poor to enrich themselves even poor. Really, the state of affairs with the attitudes of people towards the poor is just disgusting, shameful and embarrassing.
Anyone else sick of the career politicians and their federal government playing GOD?

That is why I said it is going to take some fresh ideas and not the same old republican/democrat talking points. You are both extremists. It's all or nothing on both sides of the aisle. I'm sick and tired of it and so is everyone else.

Company's pay no taxes they just collect them, a company's only goal is to make money for the stock holders.

A company is not a person right?

I'm getting angry.......again. what society can last taking its best and brightest graduates and either work them to death or send off to war to die. Tax to max so they can't afford cost of Children of their own.

All the while paying the least productive to breed, rewarded with bigger checks to breed more. LBJ set it up well, Demwitts ride the wave, 50 years into it.

The average (I believe) that a person gets from welfare is about $300 per month! They then add on about 50-100 per child. What???? What makes you people think these people would CHOOSE to live like that?

Sect 8 housing, food stamps, welfare, medicaid, phone, bus pass, daycare, school lunches, state bennies....., it does add up. Factor in "not married", "double up" the freebies? I don't know, it seems to pay more than min wage job. Studies have shown.......they do better working the system than working. Once they get 2-3 kids........they "can't work". not feasible w/o skills at low pay.

I don't mind my tax dollars going to help truly needy Children or elderly, w/o massive overhead or fraud/abuse. Solution to improve? A lot of changes.....

Those people who are making less than a welfare recipient are some of our workers who still have to collect social services. Welfare is based upon poverty guidelines.

Well we agree on that, Hillary is a bought and paid for politician, Trump is an outsider billionaire..

Who looks to all of us is going bat shit crazy...

Now I am starting to agree that dude is mentally nuts.

You will get no argument from me in that regards. Of course I have steadily made the point that is what you get when you rely on the government and corrupt politicians to accomplish what they cannot accomplish in the first place.

It has kept people from starving in our country and also they have healthcare.
We are an obese country, because of socialism. The only reason why healthcare costs are so high is do to frivolous lawsuits because of political correctness.
And why is this country in so much debt? It's role model is the federal government…
U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time

And nobody expects that. That would be hyperbole. They should get food, shelter and healthcare.

If you are voting for either Hillary or Trump, tell me why.

1. What is about these candidates that attracts you?
2. Which of your chosen candidate's platforms/stances do you agree with?
3. Why are you against the "other guy"?

PLEASE answer the questions and stay on topic. Thanks. :)
1 - Nothing about either of these 2 candidates attracts me in particular -- it is an issue of the lesser of two weevils with them both.
2 - I agree with Hillary supporting OASDI, ACA, closing corporate tax loopholes, closing individual tax loopholes which allow Romney to pay 14% tax on $20 million of annual income, separation of church and state.
3 - I am against Trump because he talks like a madman and no thinking goes into any of his speeches -- he has no experience in government.

I'm not saying that there aren't some people who will buck the system and take advantage, drug dealers, gangsters, whatever. However, the large majority of the people who are collecting social service benefits are single moms with kids.

Nothing attracts me about Hillary or the national Democratic party. The Clintons walk away from trouble that would put most any Republican behind bars or the very least out of national politics. I grant you some of the accusations made against the Clintons over the are bogus and takes away from real issues that are legit.

As for Trump he has a buffoonish side that gets him trouble. However he won't take any crap from the Dems, he will hit them right back. That leads to some misfires, but over all I can live with that. I do believe immigration is two issues, legal and illegal. The Dems are bent on making it one. Also in general I agree with Trump on trade. "Free trade"?? Nothing is for free, that is very misleading to say the least. I believe I bilateral trade, not multilateral for the most part.

Trump got to where he is because McConnell, Ryan etc the DC GOP did not do their job in cutting off sanctuary cites, amnesty {as proposed by Obama) and some other items. The Democrats lying like rugs calling the GOP obstructionist. BO with a few exceptions got everything he wanted either by executive order, court decision or the GOP Congress rolling over.

I don't put much of any stock in party platforms. its political junkie reading and something for the media to try and feast on.
