You can argue that Texas is in a climate zone where severe low temperatures are quite rare. Yes it is. But from what I have heard, low temperatures happened there in 2011 and 1989, didn't they? Here in Florida I am prepared to be with electricity for an emergency. Food, water, generator, fuel, propane etc.
I don't have to depend upon the government or anybody else.

There are many people moving to Texas every day. It is hard to keep up with the state wide electricity demands in extreme circumstances. People moving in from poorly run Democrat states like California.

You can generate you own cheaper than that crap. Appearently some are set on a sliding scale where the cost per kilowatt hour slides upward as the demand increases. I do not understand, but yes, Biden is smarter than Cruz. Hell, I'm smarter than Cruz and am quite happy with my $270.00 electric bill. I seriously doubt there are any applicable laws in Texas against that type of profiteering. It's all over the news, utility bills in the thousands, when they are usually in the couple hundred dollar range. A woman tonight said her bill was $3500 for the month, when it is usually around $250. I don't know if this energy provider will be able to get away with this, but the big deregulation in Texas (and the energy industry in particular) started with Poppa Bush, before he left office, as a gift to his donors.
What resulted from that 8 years later was Enron, and the mess they have today.
