Frankly, I've worked with folks from China. If you think what they have is an ideal society, you are truly screwed up.

Had a lady from China visit us last year. When we drove through Chicago, she was amazed how clean the air and water were for a city this size.

We've spent over $900 million so far with $680 million scheduled for Fiscal year 2013. We spent $274 billion on the failed Reagan "Star Wars" GOP slush fund. The Israelis designed and built their Iron Dome in 4 years, but 30 years of Reagan's SDI has produced nothing but failure.

However, the more sensible ship-launched SM-3 anti-ballistic-missile-missile does work. That has zilch to do with Reagan, being the SM-3 is an evolution of the old SM-2. And the program was fully embraced by the Obama administration.

Iron dome, Star Wars, Patriot, and related missile defense systems have created a huge industry of interchangable scientists who are growing every day in their ability to protect us. Their only enemy had been liberals, and of course Iran and N. Korea. Thanks to Reagan Russia is no longer a threat. What a great great man he was.

He kept reaching out to Prexy Reagan/US, to cut a deal to try to work through the USSR's economic/internal political problems, but we never seemed to get back to him/USSR. Russia - the CRS - is still a threat, although perhaps not as threatening as to foment Worldwide revolution, as the USSR used to financially, militarily & politically support rogue countries & factions.

TMK, Star Wars never shot down a single drone nor target missle. It was effectively broken up & the budget/tech went to develop further in separate programs. The massive technical criticism of Star Wars was the millions of lines of code required to find, ID, sift warheads from penaids, target the legit targets, track, scan & fire whatever the countermeasures were - multiplied by the various layers of defense envisioned - up to 3 to 5 layers, all with their own targeting, tracking, & on & on. Plus followup for leakers. Plus somehow maintain scan through nuke explosions & conventional explosions in NEO, plus anticipated attacks on our satellite/comms/command links. The software experts seemed to think it was not a viable project, as a single leak might allow an unacceptable level of annihilation through.

On making liberals illegal - well, the first problem is that the public schools don't teach much in the way of foreign languages anymore. Too elitist, I suppose. & so you can't really turn liberals into illegals - how would they communicate?

Liberals didn't give Stalin the a-bomb. That was J. E. Hoover, FBI, Army intelligence, Naval intelligence. I don't think OSS was running in-country. These stalwarts were so busy looking @ Oppenheimer & the admittedly murky political leanings & sympathies of physicists, theoreticians, mathematicians & especially the foreign-born that they neglected to look closely @ Klaus Fuchs & the rest of the network of USSR agents & spies.

& of course, to cover their abysmal record, with E. Teller's connivance, they managed to strip Oppenheimer of his security clearances & effectively hound him from US nuclear work thereafter.
