Because there is another sickness out there doing the damage that it is doing, whether media exists or not, in my opinion, the hysteria would've happened anyway even if an acknowledgement from our leader had not been made. It probably would've only been worse had his mouth remained closed.

1) The article does not link to its data source. The graphic says it is from Business Insider, but no article. So it is basically some anonymous source of its 'facts' that one cannot verify.
2) Business Insider *would* play this down as does every business journal/site I have seen. Lol, basically they are saying 'Throw Granny off the cliff, who cares anyway?'
3) The underlying denominator is having other health complications like diabetese, high blood pressure, obesity and cardio vacular disease in general. South koreans are a very healthy people unlike the USA.
4) South Korea has a small militarized society. Their people follow orders, and they are one ethnicity so they tend to pull together much quicker and stronger. Here the Libs would call that 'fascist'. But they are handling the COVID19 crisis better than anyone else int he world, I do not see how one can present them as an expected model for anyone else.

South Korea shows us what can happen if you do things right, but that will not be typical of all nations across the globe. Trump[ gives me hope that we will be more like South Korea than Italy.
