Folks dont worry so much. Economic activity is being suppressed by the lockdowns but they will be almost all gone by end of October, and those that still do lockdowns will be blue states losing businesses to red states.
That wont last very long because the businesses will be taking their taxes with them, and we are not bailing out any corrupt and mismanaged states like New York.
Trump is the best man to guide us back into a full re-opening and that is what scares the beejeebus out of the Democrats.
You're kind of delusional, buddy.
Here's how it's going to play out. Best case scenario, we end the lockdowns in June and hopefully that won't cause a spike in new cases. If it does, we'll be right back where we started from.
But even if it doesn't, a lot of those small businesses will be GONE. They won't be coming back.
Then you are going to see the second wave in layoffs. All the "essential" workers who are going to find themselves downsized because their industries aren't making as much, or the new influx of unemployed means they can find someone to do the job for cheaper.
THIS IS GOING TO BE BAD. If Trump were a leader, he'd level with people and prepare them for the worst. This is what Bush did after 9/11. This is what FDR did during the Great Depression.
His bragging how awesome he is was wearing a bit thin on people before we had 80,000 corpses.
President Trump has already leveled with the people.
After the disease is defeated, he will pull his magic wand again. The economy will sky rocket right back up... well the states that are not blue anyway.
The Magical Orange Blob?
Seriously - do any of you realize that this is not a LOCAL economy that is being devastated? It's the world economy, and it's all interrelated.
