The "I Voted Thread" Nov 6 2018

I voted about an hour ago. I was the first time in the 15 years of living here did I have to wait in line during a midterm election. Turnout in Western PA could shatter some records. Happy Election Day, Ya'll!
Too bad there wasn't free donuts...

Not donuts, but I brought some cookies I made last night to the poll workers.

I voted No on Dem's, No on tax increases, and No on gun control.
Was there a gun control option on your ballot? What state?

Florida didn't have one. At least not on my ballot. Voted for Amendments
1 thru 13 *There was no #8.

Yes on Increased Homestead Property Tax Exemption
Yes on Limited Property Tax Assements (Keep the Cap)
No on Voters deciding on Casinos. (That needs to stay in Tally. That's
increased earnings for the state while the voters will worry about traffic
on the street)
No on Voter restoration. (You can't do the time don't commit the crime)
Yes on Supermajority needed to raise Taxes.
Yes on rights of crime victims
Yes of first responder and military survivor benefits
No on Prohibiting offshore drilling
Yes On keeping Govt structure and Operation'
No On Removl of discriminatory language
Yes on Lobbying of Office of public officials. (They can't do it)
No on Phaing out Dog Racing in connection with betting by 2020.

Rest of the Ballot was simple. Yes on all the R's.
No to retain one appellate judge and no to retain a Supreme Court Judge

That could be considered a bribe...but it's you and likely a gesture of goodwill towards fellow humans

I used to help work the polls when I first moved here and know most of the workers. I always brought a bunch of treats to last throughout the day and the tradition sort of stuck even though I don't work them anymore. It was a busy as all get out when I went went today.

I'll bet your cookies were fabulous

Polls here opened @ 7 AM.

I went about 7:50 AM, NO line, and was out before 8 AM.

Quick, easy, voted a STRAIGHT DEMOCRAT TICKET.

First time in my life I voted a straight ticket for any party :19:
I still haven’t voted a straight ticket

Managed to find a couple of Republicans worthy of my vote

Str8 GOP ticket and when I did I thought this is for Kavanaugh
What office is he running for?

Cease being annoying and do you really have 728 posts on the 6th day of the month?

Cripes squirt grab a life
What does a posters # of posts have to do with any of this?

Easiest voting i've ever done. Straight republican. Democrats can thank themselves. After Kavanaugh, i'll never vote for a democrat again.

Duncan Hunter is our current Rep....under indictment with his wife for multiple counts of misuse of funds.....can't live within his means and is currently living with his parents. And yet, my district just might re-elect him. How sad is that?

Huge turnout here and we will see where it gets us. I voted across the board as normal, good and bad in every party.

Very first time I voted was in 1980 for Reagan.
I've been a registered independent all my life.
I've NEVER voted a straight ticket until today.

I truly believe Reagan would be horrified by Trump's White House.
And I think George Will, the conservative standard of the Republican party who resigned his membership earlier this year is right:
Vote Democratic this year and stop an out of control, psychopath in his tracks...and the sycophants who bow down to him and fear him.
And I did.
