Here is what it takes to eliminate an amendment
1') The House to vote to eliminate it
2) The Senate has to have 2/3 of the Senate to vote to eliminate an amendment ... in this case 66 votes in the Senate
3/Then every state in the union has to have 2/3 of the people in each state want it to eliminate it ... then it is sent to the president to have it signed into law ...if the president vetoes it, they have to go back through these procedures all over to override the president's veto ...

So when you say, Democrats want to eliminate an amendment and you now know fully how it is done do you see how stupid your statement here is ... yes I'm laughing at you ...
