How will he get the 1st amendment repealed? :eusa_think:

He just made the 1st Amendment stronger.

Much stronger!!!

The Constitution was made for a "moral and religious people"

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Founders Online: From John Adams to Massachusetts Militia, 11 October 1798

What our society has "progressed" to become is much more irreligious and immoral.

Without the elements of morality and religion to make up the difference where the Constitution can't or simply doesn't go, all kinds of excess are carried out by stupid people lacking any reasonable restraints that might chasten their harmful verbal and written impulsive expressions.

Simply put, at one time in our nation's history where religion or morality would have prevented these attacks on Nick, now the only thing that will chasten these foolish, mean spirited individuals is the threat of a lawsuit.

And the 1st Amendment is made safer because individuals will now have to practice SELF RESTRAINT AND SELF CONTROL as if they were doing so in accordance with the morals and religious principles that were once common in America.

I can hardly contain my excitement at this great turn of events!!!

Great News.

Great News.

You are an example of what, how and why the 1st Amendment doesn't work.

How will he get the 1st amendment repealed? :eusa_think:

In the case of the Guardian he is probably suing in British Court, and they don't have the amendment there.

As for over here, the 1st amendment doesn't protect you from malicious slander or libel, the hard part is proving malicious intent.

How will he get the 1st amendment repealed? :eusa_think:
Since when does the First Amendment make it legal to libel someone?
The original feed and produced video came from one person, not a journalist and not employed by any company.
The people being sued made their statements after the entire video was published and after numerous broadcasts were made about the true facts of the case. They have no excuse.

The counter suits for frivolous filing of lawsuits is going to be GLORIOUS!

BTW...I knew that the parents were going to turn around and blame the school and the diocese for their own little punk's behavior. I was right.

Kathy Griffin and Jim Carrey :lmao:
They won't think it's so funny when they lose a million dollar judgement.

I'm pretty sure Jim Carrey can laugh off a million dollars.
