The Lone Ranger

So the question presents itself...why did a white version of The Lone Ranger come to be what America believes to be thee lone ranger?

On the other hand, many years later the fictional white character of Nick Fury would be played by an African American man. Not based on a real person, but that's about all I could think of off the top of my head.

Same reason people think the ancient Egyptians were Swedish.
They were not really "black" either, although some evidence suggest that Egyptians were like Ethiopians, with black skin, but not like sub-Saharan Africans.

There's a really good argument for Jesus being black that white folks love to ignore.
No such thing as sub-saharan. Thats more white boy speak trying to separate Egypt from Africa.

Here ae some Ethiopian people. They look like Black people to me. In fact my friend is Ethiopian and I wouldnt have known if he didnt tell me.

Northeast "black" Africans are distinct in appearance from Africans to the south.

That's like saying Japanese people look like Chinese or Korean Asians.

Was actually black. The fictional character was based on a man named Bass Reeves, an African American cowboy in the years just after the Civil War.

This is pure speculation of course. All based on a theory set forth by literally one guy.

Same reason David Carradine got the lead in the TV series "Kung Fu."
Which also made little sense.

But, Bruce Lee was a superstar. As is Jet Li and Donnie Yen, so you have little complaint.

Me? Why would I have any complaint?
Not you, specifically.

The series Kung Fu WAS CREATED FOR BRUCE LEE! But the producers early on decided that Lee's accent was such that many in the audience would not understand what he was saying.

I enjoyed the program and watched every episode. It always bothered me that the actor was in such horrible physical condition himself - no muscle definition, etc.

No not really. There are plenty of Northeast Black Africans like the Sudanese that you simply cant tell apart from Africans south of them. Do you want to know why? According to them the south is where their gods and ancestors came from.

They are all DNA related so yes they do look alike. Thats why some people have a hard time telling them apart much like Blacks.

The black dude couldn't afford the silver bullets.

I don't think silver bullets would be very practical.
True, but the properties of silver are similar to that of lead--a dense, soft metal. It allows the projectile to fly straight and penetrate on impact.

That was probably the only realistic aspect of the show. A guy in his circumstances would have very little opportunity to eat a healthy diet or hit the weights.

Well he could have run up against desperate female criminals like Nancy Pelosi....where only a silver bullet would work.

I didn't know pelosi liked to drink Coors.

What would you expect from someone that was wandering the planet without being able to stop in at the local gym?

You need to research Japanese ancestry. Not the same.

I have no doubt that Sudanese are similar to Africans to the South.

Let me say this, since the real subtopic between us is Egyptians. Tutankhamen was not "black" by any measure. Some of the other Egyptian kings/queens may have been.

Bass Reeves was DEFINITELY black and definitely a badass.

Bass Reeves was a U.S .Marshall . Interesting to find out the Lone Ranger was based on him. I read he arrested a woman's adult son and she followed on foot cussing and yelling and making threats for miles . As for Egypt the people from what I studied were mixed. Cleopatra's (there were more then one) were Mesopotamian .
