The Notorious “catch and kill" campaign: Turning the National Enquirer into an arm of Trump's 2016 presidential campaign

You need to post your sources, because that is not in the transcript. Pecker's testimony starts at page 95 and ends at page 108.

It's all preliminary stuff, then they adjourned.

This plan was something that Cohen and Pecker worked out, and Cohen sold the idea to Trump. There is nothing wrong with Trump wanting to meet Pecker to make sure it was legitimate, ask questions, etc.

Nothing illegal, no matter how hard you TDS fools try to argue it was.
quotes --
At the center of the case is a meeting that prosecutors said took place at the Trump Tower between The Boss, Pecker and former Trump fixer Michael Cohen in August 2015, during which the three men "orchestrated a cover-up to interfere" with the presidential election by concealing negative information about Trump.

In June 2015, Pecker received an invitation from Cohen inviting him to Trump's presidential campaign announcement. He attended and watched Trump announce his candidacy at Trump Tower. Then in August, he was asked by Cohen to return to the Fifth Avenue condominium because "the boss wanted to see me."

All news sources say the same thing. Hmm...

And there will be more. And no one on Trump's defense claims Pecker called the meeting at Trump Tower. We all know Cohen had no authority to do so either.

Everyone knows The Boss called the meeting. Trump was in the room. No one brought anything over to him as he was sitting right there. Three witnesses. And I doubt Trump would have any reason to suggest somebody else called a meeting at his Office. :auiqs.jpg:
Now all you have to do is invent the crime... :icon_rolleyes:

NDA's aren't illegal, and they were discussing something the Enquirer was already doing for other celebrities.

They weren't breaking any laws, and sensational labels don't make the crime...

Perhaps you’ll just cry more.
Hillary is damn lucky she is totally above the rule of law.

David Pecker just testified that he’s the one who told Trump women might come to him with stories, because Trump was such a popular bachelor who dated the most beautiful women.

Apparently Trump was just planning a campaign run, but Pecker and Cohen were the ones worried about women coming forward.

Does the prosecution realize they just made themselves look ridiculous? Their key witness just said Trump didn’t even come up with any of this.

Only looks that way in the dim light.
Are you saying Durham was working in the "dim light"?

Because he describes exactly what I said...

"The speed and manner in which the FBI opened and investigated Crossfire Hurricane during the presidential election season based on raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence also reflected a noticeable departure from how it approached prior matters involving possible attempted foreign election interference plans aimed at the Clinton campaign. As described in Section IV.B, in the eighteen months leading up to the 2016 election, the FBI was required to deal with a number of proposed investigations that had the potential of affecting the election. In each of those instances, the FBI moved with considerable caution.

In one such matter discussed in Section IV.B.l, FBI Headquarters and Department officials required defensive briefings to be provided to Clinton and other officials or candidates who appeared to be the targets of foreign interference. In another, the FBI elected to end an investigation after one of its longtime and valuable CHSs went beyond what was authorized and made an improper and possibly illegal financial contribution to the Clinton campaign on behalf of a foreign entity as a precursor to a much larger donation being contemplated. And in a third, the Clinton Foundation matter, both senior FBI and Department officials placed restrictions on how those matters were to be handled such that essentially no investigative activities occurred for months leading up to the election.

These examples are also markedly different from the FBI' s actions
with respect to other highly significant intelligence it received from a trusted foreign source pointing to a Clinton campaign plan to vilify Trump by tying him to Vladimir Putin so as to divert attention from her own concerns relating to her use of a private email server.

Unlike the FBI's opening of a full investigation of unknown members of the Trump campaign based on raw, uncorroborated information, in this separate matter involving a purported Clinton campaign plan, the FBI never opened any type of inquiry, issued any taskings, employed any analytical personnel, or produced any analytical products in connection with the information.

This lack of action was despite the fact that the significance of the Clinton plan intelligence was such as to have prompted the Director of the CIA to brief the President, Vice President, Attorney General, Director of the FBI, and other senior government officials about its content within days of its receipt."

Yes, it is the Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg charging Trump in New York Supreme Court with 34 counts of violating NY PEN 175.10.

What the hell does Florida have to do with it? Are you retarded?

The NDA's are the agreements that AMI entered into with the whores, which Cohen then bought the rights to, in order to make AMI whole.

Your grasp of this case is extremely superficial, and I am being generous..

Holy fuck. :eusa_doh:

Again, there was no NDA with AMI. The NDA was with Stormy Daniels. She had nothing to do with AMI.

And Trump legally paid his law firm, who purchased the rights to the stories that AMI had legally purchased from Daniels and McDougal.

The difference is that the money Trump paid was not used to make up a conspiracy theory against his political opponent. It was used to defend his personal reputation, and it was not illegal.

You have no idea what you're talking about. AMI didn't buy anything from Stormy Daniels. And it was not legal. Cohen got convicted for paying off Daniels and Pecker took an immunity deal to avoid prosecution.

And the reason Trump did it was because of the election. It's why he's on trial now.

"Manafort worked with Kilimnik starting in 2016 on narratives that sought to undermine evidence that Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. election" and to direct such suspicions toward Ukraine." -- Kilimnik the Russian intelligence officer.
