The Presidents In My Lifetime, Compared To Barack Obama! {KING}

Since {KING} is so inept in this thread, I will take it over for him

Rank of Presidents in my Lifetime

1. Eisenhower: National Highway System, strong economy
2. Obama: Prevented a depression, Obamacare
3. Reagan: Negotiated peaceful collapse of the Soviet Union
4. JFK: NASA, Peace Corps
5. Clinton: Booming economy, balanced budgets
6. Nixon: EPA, China, Watergate
7. Bush Sr: Kuwait
8. LBJ: Medicare, Civil Rights, Viet Nam
9. Ford: not much one way or the other
10. Carter: Iran fiasco, economic collapse
11. Bush Jr: Iraq, massive economic collapse, 9/11

Here's my list.

1. Reagan: Peaceful collapse of the Soviet union. Restored hope and confidence in the US, a "shining city on a hill."
2. Eisenhower: Interstate system and strong economy. Began the work to correct civil rights.
3. JFK: Continued the work on civil rights. Stared down Kruschev's 'adventures.'
4. Clinton: Strong economy and work for welfare reforms. If only he could have kept it zipped.
5. Nixon: China, EPA. If only he would have not tried to cover for his buddies.
6. Bush Sr: Kuwait.
7. Ford: Pardoned Nixon and cut short any drawn out pain from that mess. Otherwise, yawn. But a good man.
8. LBJ: Voting rights act of 1964. If you're going to fight a war, let the generals fight it.
9. Bush Jr: 9/11 response and the way he treats veterans was/is wonderful. Someone should have hid the 'checkbook' from this guy. 'Compassionate conservatism' is another way to say 'we give you free things.'
10. Obama: Benghazi, IRS, 17+ TRILLION in debt, appologist, roll back of work for welfare, everything about Holder, executive orders, no budgets for 6 years now, Obamacare, divisiveness, and the list continues to grow and grow. An unadulterated amateur who really should have run something, anything before being President.
10.5: Carter: Iran fiasco, Nicaragua, dismantling of US military at the height of the cold war. Good heart I believe, incredibly stupid and uninformed policies.

The 'gotcha' about Obamacare is still a year away. Employers are exempt from the mandates until just before the 2014 November elections. When 50 million Americans lose their employer health insurance, how deafening will be the wails and knashing of teeth become?

You forgot a couple of things:

Bush, Sr: Fall of the Berlin Wall.
Carter: Peace Accord between Egypt and Israel, which still holds today.

Obama: Lily Ledbetter Act, Health Care Reform, expanded Health Coverage for Children, Stimulus, Wall Street Reform, End of Iraq War, drawdown in Afghanistan, got Osbama bin Laden, saved the Auto Industry, recapitalized banks, toppled Ghaddafi, told Mubarak to go, reversed Bush 43's torture policies, revamped the student loan program so that the banks don't make a killing, created race to the top, increased energy efficiency standards, coordinated the international response to the financial crisis through the G20, tightened sanctions on Iran, put more boots on the southern border (TX, NM, AR, CA) than any president in history, credit reforms, improved the food safety system, successfully negotiated the Start II treaty with Russia, expanded the National Service, expanded Wilderness and Watershed protection, gave the FDA power to regulate tobacco, signed the fair sentencing act of 2010 (cocaine possession), expanded stem cell research (which Bush 43 limited), provided payment to wronged minority farmers, killed the F-22 (which was the USAF's request, which Bush was not willing to kill).

Carter is maligned by the GOP for doing exactly what they are demanding Obama do.......maintain a balanced budget while in an economic recession
Carter insisted on a balanced budget and paid a political price....Reagan opened up the checkbook and was viewed as a rightwing hero.......deficits don't matter

Carter did not balance the budget.
Carter's Farewell Budget - TIME

He got fired because of his lousy polices.
Gas rationing, High inflation, high interest rates, failed in the Iranian Hostage (this was his biggest downfall) and shut down farms. Many farmers lost their farms because of his polices.

BUSH 41

First of all, everyone knows that just being the father of "Dubya" is reason alone to be sentenced to life in prison.

Secondly, this is the man that had Manuel Noriega, Pablo Escobar, and Freeway Ricki Ross on his payroll as Head of the C.I.A. This man was paying money to the biggest drug dealers in the world, and allowing cocaine into America.

Thirdly, he was a millionaire by 40.FROM THE OIL BUSINESS! As president, The First Gulf War was a oil deal gone bad. BUSH 41, had business dealings with THE BEN-LADEN family!

All this involvement in Iraq, Afghanistan, 9-11, etc....can be traced back to THIS man.

But y'all think Obama is bad.

lmao

There is, and has always been, a tremendous amount of opposition to the presidency of Obama. Many in here and throughout America think his administration is a disaster.

How soon we forget!

Let us now take a trip down Memory Lane, and see who exactly Barack Obama is, compared to the presidents I saw before him. Once we can be honest about who we have had to endure, MAYBE we can have a new found respect for our current Commander-In-Chief.

KING!

I wonder if Bush 41 not standing next to Carter was intentional.

KING!

Carter was a well meaning man who has since lost his mind. Most of the bad things that happened during his term were beyond his control.

Reagan: If for no other reason Reagan should have made us all proud to be Americans. There was never, EVER, any doubt of what country and what people Reagan loved. He restored the dignity and our place in the world lost during Carter. Reagan by far was not perfect by he was the best president head and shoulders above the rest.

GW BUSH, Sadly we read his lips.

Clinton. Was the president that sent our low skill jobs overseas. Maybe another president would have done the same but it was done on Clinton's watch with Clinton pushing for it more then anything else during his term. He also destroyed dignity and truth with his behavior.

Bush 43.Did really pretty well for 6 years. No child left behind and the prescription drug plans were ill advised, in my opinion. The Iraq and Afghan war I think I would have voted no to going but apparently I don't have the information Hillary and Kerry had to warrant their yes vote, before his no vote. Bush's term was of little note other then he handled what came his way pretty well. The 2001 recession, the dotcom crash, the Y2K winddown and 9/11 all in the same year and we came out of it with hardly a blink.

Obama. I'll let the white hooded Joe Biden answer: "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."
First of all I am not sure what makes Obama "mainstream African-American." Certainly his life story, as we know it, has no elements of mainstream AA as I know it. He is all the rest. I would think that some of the criticism is based in race but I don't believe the majority. If Hillary were elected and doing exactly the same things I would think she would be receiving the same exact treatment. What Obama has done is circumvent the constitution, in my opinion. Making recess appointments when the Senate is not in recess is just one example. Killing American citizens by drone without due process is another, in my opinon. IF Obamacare works out that will be, in my opinion, the only positive for Obama.

In my rating, Clinton was the worse president of those pictured. What he did to the working man has come home to roost. It was predicted and came true. That and he was a lying horn dog, lying even under oath.

Drugs, and all the problems that come with them, were were started and flourished under BUSH 41 and Reagan.

The wars that bankrupted America and kickstarted The War on Terror were started and flourished under BUSH 41 and Dubya.

Nixon was thrown out of office for being a crook, liar, and criminal.

Believe it or not, things are about to get far worse under the last two presidents in my lifetime...

Great comeback. Truth is that Obama is a right of center president.

Provided that the "center" is defined by Pol Pot.

If Obama had Reagan's record on the economy (largest tax increase in history) and foreign policy (Iran/contra and 241 dead marines in Beirut) you'd crucify him.

It amazes me the stupid lies that you KOS Kiddies spew. I realize that you don't know any better, your handlers program you at the hate sites and you slither over here to mindlessly spew this shit.. Still..

In fact, Reagan significantly reduced taxes - BUT he closed the loopholes that the corrupt looter elite depends on. The canard of "largest tax increase" that your masters train you to spew, in simply their bile over the closure of loopholes that benefit the 1%

Obama has no chance with you guys. If he acts like a democrat, you try to impeach him for every statement, act and circumstance. If he gives you what you want - ACA, cap and trade, tax cuts--he's a socialist. If he rolled over completely and changed parties, you'd hang him for being weak.

Obama is a radical, he seeks to radically change the nature of government and society. Those changes he has made thus far, race relations and Obamacare, are unmitigated disasters. Race relations have not been this strained since democrat George Wallace blockaded schools and democrat Bull Conner used fire hoses on people in the street.
There's nothing Obama can do to please you. That's very obvious.

Benghazi...an impeachable offense? hardly and no one cares about it. Not after living through the hundreds of thousands of people illegally killed in Bush's criminal Iraq war. 4 dead? please.

Ah, a straw man.

If not for logical fallacy, the left would never even approach logic.

Fast and furious...another non-issue.

Yep, selling guns to Mexican drug lords is just good fun. Hey, the AG might be an open criminal, but he's a member of the party - and the party is the ONLY thing that matters.

Carter's worse budget had a $27 billion deficit......Reagan opened the checkbook and quadrupled the debt to make his economic recovery

Iran cost Carter his reelection. Hs worst error was taking in the Shah. America wanted to see a Rambo response to the hostage crisis and never forgave Carter. But his restraint resulted in all 52 hostages returning safely......Rambo may not have gotten the same result

Did you forget he tried the "Rambo" solution and THAT failed badly? That failure was enough to cost him the election. Only the Iranians controlled whether or not they were returned safely.

Fact, the drug war started in 1936 when the Roosevelt administration made MJ illegal. Nixon declared a war on drugs and it has continued ever since. We are no better off now then we were back then. But then again there is money to be made by both sides of the issues. The lawless making profit, the police making money according to arrests and corruption. So don't expect much to change.

8 years of Reagan deficits = 1 month of Obama deficits...

Heck of a job, Barry...

The helicopter crash cost him dearly but there was no assurance that had the helicopters gotten through that the hostages could have been rescued without significant casualties

As it was....the hostages all returned alive.
