Not loving the hat this year, Tilly. Fox had a pic of her last night in the most magnificent royal blue hat with a huge peony. Can't find it online anywhere. Who wants a hat bearing ranunculus?

This Little Old Lady loves hats.

She has ever since WW2 when she was a mere babe in uniform.

I wish hats would make a come back.

Everyone should always wear a hat.

A hat protects your head from the heat of the sun.

It keeps the sun out of your eyes.

It keeps lights out of your eyes.

It keeps bugs out of your hair.

You can wear a bug net over your hat.

It keeps bird sh!t off your head.

It keeps the rain off your head and out of your face and eyes.

It protects your face and eyes from dust and dirt.

When you play poker you should also always wear a hat because then you can lower your face so your opponent can't tell if you have a royal flush or are bluffing.

This one puts me in mind of a Pharoah's headdress ala snake.

Yup this old lady could start a hat shoppe if she did not already have a job in retirement.

The most important thing that any female (girl, lady, or woman) will ever wear is a gun.

A Glock .380 in her favorite color is the ideal firearm for a woman.

With it you need a holstering system.

For all those Annie Oakley's an inside the belt holstering system is ideal.

For all the others a leather purse with a sewn-in holster inside the purse works best. I suggest a zippered top for the purse rather than a flap across the top, since zippering is easier to open.

The purse should have a long heavy leather strap firmly attached to the purse with solid brass fitting and riveted.

Of course then the shoes will need to match the purse.

And the hat will need to match the shoes and purse too if not the whole outfit.

And there you have it --

- gun

- holster

- purse with a thick leather strap

- shoes

- hat

- matching outfit.

She wears increasingly heavy hats during exercise. It's a fad that's really picking up steam in the west coast.
