If we want to maintain free and fair election the Census should identify people who are not citizens, to ensure Electoral votes and Federal funds distribution isn't supporting illegal inhabitants. The crazy left wants to have counts for these purposes to include Millions of non citizens. A population of say 20million would receive a lower amount than an area with 40million . So you count 20million citizens and 10million non citizens that way you get more and never have to use the money on the Non citizens, why would you they're non citizens they don't get anything. Count All inhabitants and Identify how many are not Citizens it's where we need to start to improve the Immigration system and Protect the Electoral process.

There is no doubt in any sane mind....it is illegal immigration that has kept the Mexicrat Party relevant in American politics...they are fully aware of this, that’s why they are now campaigning on Mexico’s soil.

I am a progressive who is fine with the census question, voter ID's, and cracking down on election fraud. I don't really see how others on the left have become so twisted that their idea of fairness is only so one-sided. We need a process for elections that insures that they are free and FAIR. An improper vote, be it by an illegal, by a bought vote, by a vote in the wrong jurisdiction, or whatever disenfranchises people who cast legitimate votes.
