You're lumping all Jews into one category, which is no better than those who lump all of Islam into one category, and is no more accurate. The vast majority of Jews do not consider themselves tasked with "slaughtering unbelievers" any more than the vast majority of Muslims or Christians.

Israel's actions are the actions of a state - not a religion and should be criticized with that in mind. Even within Israel there is a diversity of opinion supporting and opposing Israel's policies towards the Palestinians. The most accurate information and some of the most vocal opponents come from within Israel itself.

Jew's are "hated" for a variety of reasons most of which stem from events over a thousand years ago, centuries of oppression by the dominating religions at the time which passed religiously-based laws restricting them, killing them, driving them out of their lands defining them through conspiracy theory style stories that have fed centuries of anti-semitism.

But it's impossible to make accurate accountings of death tolls much beyond the last century. Reliable records don't exist, cultures and societies were hugely different and quite often the victor writes the history. I think the only "window" in time that truly matters is the current one.

Added to that - none of that history justifies what is going on now. Those people weren't alive centuries ago conducting genocide. Most of them are just ordinary people.

Reminds me of the endless times Seal came up with the same argument, the we believe we're better than the rest. Even though I never came up with that claim or even thought of it.
