The Democrat talking point is that Walz retired in May 2005 before his unit got orders to mobilize in July 2005.

Some of us are aware NG units find out several months before that they are going to deploy so people can get their life together. Walz knew in February 2005. How do we know? His own congressional campaign website.

All or part of Walz' battalion COULD BE deployed within the next TWO years?

You like this?

So you agree that his unit did not know if they were going to be mobilized?

"All or a portion" "could be" "within two years?"

I suspect most every unit in the armed forces at times could be mobilized. I guess nobody should ever retire -- after 24 years of military service.

He heard the word "deployed" and bailed on his men. His men are not happy that he bailed on them. His "stolen valor" is regarding his retirement rank. "Command Sergeant Major" was busted to "Master Sergeant" because he bailed.

Did you know that right now the US armed forces is probably under alert for possible mobilization because of shit in the MidEast?

Nobody. No one should be retiring.

LOL
Even when you put in 24 years and being in your 40's?

Everyone should be a "Patriot", except, of course...............Cadet Bone Spurs.

They were notified of the actual deployment specific orders in July, and they deployed/mobilized in OCTOBER...

Three months later.....silly one! If he notified that he would retire in May, that is 5 months before his battalion shipping out in October. Try again.

Nov 10, 2018 — President Donald Trump could not attend a commemoration in France for U.S. soldiers and marines killed during World War One on Saturday ...

Despite the light rain, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel held a moving ceremony in Compiegne, northeast of Paris, to mark the 100th anniversary of the signing of the World War One armistice.

Darn bone spurs.

How is not going to ceremony due weather the same as tampon timmy betraying his troops and quiting?

Are you really that desperate to defend his stolen valor???

Do you have any evidence to actually refute the linked article?

Seems pretty clear he was well aware of what was coming up…and bailed out

Such bs. LOL

Since the start of the WoT, Troops are always hearing alerts of possible deployments.

Walz was not "busted" in rank.

The other leaders made it just fine.

Walz retired TEN MONTHS before his former battalion was even deployed and TWO months before the battalion was even notified, they MIGHT be deployed.
Are you really that desperate to defend his stolen valor???
FAKE 'news".
