The Top Three Reasons Why Liberals Hate Conservatives

I hope I am posting this in the right forum.

This guy nails it. The "kill shot" from the link:

“Conservatives believe what they see; liberals see what they believe.”

Pretty well covers the difference between the two groups.

Mark

Having been someone who has made the transition from being a really right wing republican to a more moderate liberal, I would say BOTH sides see the world through a filter of their philosophy.

Because that's kind of human nature.

the problem I see with Conservatives is that after the complete, utter and total disaster that was 2008, they really haven't rethought their philosophies. They just want to do more of the same.

utter and total disaster that was 2008

Not a disaster, an unfortunate series of events aided by a news media on the payroll of democrats....take away the Presidents skin color and he would have lost...considering the democrats couldn't get gore, or kerry elected...

Once again, Republicans reply with a "See...we have minorities too" defense

Until Republicans can show across the board representation by minorities at all levels of government, they cannot shake the reputation as a white mans party. If they increase from six blacks elected to higher office in the last one hundred years to seven elected blacks, they have not shaken the reputation. Republicans are 90% white. Until they attract more minorities, they remain a white mans party

While the Democrats represent the minorities they has stopped representing the majority of this nation.
The data simply does not support that claim.

The majority were and still are against the new Affordable Health Care Act
Majority of Americans Still Disapprove of Healthcare Law

The decline of the conservative Democrat - The Washington Post
RealClearPolitics - Election Other - Public Approval of Health Care Law

There is plenty of Data that supports the claim.
Conservative and moderate representation is declining in the Democrat party.
The problem is that all your link to the "Obamacare" stories demonstrate is that Republicans have done a better job of marketing their attacks, than Democrats have their defense. You see, you're right. Most Americans oppose health law but like provisions. When polled generically , without the name attached, the majority of Americans approve of the majority of the provisions within Obamacare. Just as an example, most Americans approved of the provision that provided for the expansion of medicare:

Obamacare-640x484.jpg

And this has proven true across the board. The one glaring exception being the Individual mandate. So, really, all these "Everyone hates Obamacare" polls demonstrate is how good the Republicans were at making the Affordable Care act all about that single provision, while getting the American Public to ignore every other provision in the act that they actually love.

Or maybe it is because of their own individual experiences with the new program and the 6 million who have lost their health care insurance that was very good for them as individuals.
Don't ignore the fact that Conservative Dems and moderates are on the decline within the parties representation.
The Dems are representing the Libs just like the Repubs are representing the conservatives. Both have gone too far left and too far right
.
I would challenge that claim. The problem isn't that "Conservative" Dems are on the decline, the problem is that the Conservative Right has moved so far to the right, that those who were once considered "Conservative, and Moderate Democrats" are now perceived, from the current vantage point of the Right, as "extreme liberalism".

6 million did not lose their healthcare insurance

That is another piece of rightwing misinformation to turn people against Obamacare

Go ahead libs run on Obamacare so I can laugh in your face when your candidates go down in flames. I think we all know your candidates don't have the guts to, they are gutless cowards when it comes to standing up and taking responsibility for Obamacare.
Well, idunno...I notice that all of a sudden Repubicans don't wanna mention the ACA, and you guys were all about how that was gonna be the key issue in this election, and was going to be the thing that allowed Republicans another "Right-Wing wave" into congress like 2010. What happened to that?

What happened to that?

Obama broke the law and moved all the mandates back past the election to keep the impact of obamacare from being felt...until the election was over...

Couldn't have asked for a better example of republican hate than this one:

I openly and proudly hate liberals. They lie. They bare false witness. They foment racial division. They foment gender division. They foment class envy. They undermine our Constitution, laws, and elections. I wasn't born hating liberals I learned to hate them.

If liberals stopped being such totalitarians then normal people wouldn't despise them. Think about it - never in history have people liked their oppressors.
Liberals should stop being totalitarians?!?! Did you seriously just say that with a straight face! From the guy that supports the party that wants to tell people who they can, and cannot marry?!?! From the guy that supports the party that wants to force women to have government mandated vaginal probes?!?! From the party that wants to tell women what they can, and cannot do with their own bodies?!?! Pal, I don't know what you think totalitarian means, but it obviously doesn't mean what you think it does!

What happened to that?

Obama broke the law and moved all the mandates back past the election to keep the impact of obamacare from being felt...until the election was over...
But, if that were true, if Obama "broke the law", then you guys should have no problem making that case to the American public, and still sweeping Congress like in 2010. So, why isn't that the victory cry of the Republicans? Funny how we heard all about that for a few weeks - The Right was screaming "IMPEACH!!!", and "LAWSUIT!!!""", and all it did was cause a massive fund raising coup for the Democrats, and suddenly Republicans shut the fuck up, and we haven't heard a peep about that since...

wellll...actually we did hear one little peep: John Boehner’s Lawyer Quits Because Lawsuit Against Obama Could Harm His Credibility. Yeah...that little bit of Right-Wing doggerel worked out well for you guys.

Wanna try that answer again?

Just so we can see where you are coming from, name a couple conservative Democrats.

Now, on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being extreme left, rate obama, hillary clinton, John McCain, Allen West and yourself.

The OP seems to cover almost all the reasons Republicans are hated

But rather than trying to mitigate the damage, they just deny that it is true. More Republicans living in a fantasy bubble where everyone loves them
You might have a point if these were true, but they are not,the only truth hear is the fact that the left will say anything to personally smear what they see as a threat, and anyone different is a threat. They do NOT practice what they preach.

This thread doesn't disappoint

. In 2008, a survey was done that showed similar numbers of Republicans (5.7) and Democrats (6.8) would not vote for a black presidential candidate....Democrats were slightly (1.1%) more likely to show racist thinking than Republicans

That's gonna leave a mark
not surprising to me......i know how lots of them feel about the brown folk.....plus look how they fucked the gays over out here in 2 elections...
oh geezus....had lunch with Dean did we?....i hope you made him pay...

The numbers don't lie. You can deny them, but they don't lie

Republicans cannot deny that they are "the white mans party" when statistics show they are 90% white
geezus....thats the best impersonation of Dean yet....good job RW....

Again......Republicans are 90% white

snip
Hey Our doors are open but those racist blacks choose to stay on the plantation. A 90% white party in a 74% white country is proof (according to you) that Republicans are racist, but you refuse to consider that blacks who voted 95% for barack obama might be racist.

Dismissed!
Yes.....and all those plantation analogies are sure to have blacks flocking to your party. Like a typical Republican, you blame blacks for not buying into your message without asking.......What is wrong with our message?

If they were any smarter than you, they would see the plantation analogy as valid.
Pre Civil War, blacks worked for their masters in return for meager food and shelter. 150 years later, they vote for the same people in return for SNAP and Section 8.
As long as they have full bellies and a roof over their head and maybe a free cell phone, they have no incentive to work hard at school and a career and remain happily at the plantation.

Why is it that the baby is left out of that rant...considering that is who needs the protection from government sanctioned killing....as to marriage....they just didn't want the definition to change from what it has been throughout time, and Hmmmmm...seems to me that since blacks vote over 95% democrat and they were the ones who helped defeat gay marriage when it was on ballot initiatives...it isn't only Republicans who wanted to keep the definition the same....again....a lot of democrats don't want it to change either......it was the libs who want to change things...and now the "tolerant" ones, who just want to marry the people they love....are going after anyone who refuses to participate in the ceremony....

Hmmm...so, before a woman can kill an innocent American citizen in her womb, some people want her to be required to see the victim before she permits the murder to take place...yeah...totally totalitarian....thanks for playing...

Yeah and that poster referred to an ultra sound as a vaginal probe. More "honesty" from our lefty lunatics.

And with the government backed Planned Parenthood clinics in minority neighborhoods more than other neighborhoods...you would think minorities might be a little suspicious of the "help" being offered to them from the party that once owned slaves...the democrats....

I LOVE it....Go with that

Tell blacks that they have it as bad as slaves did 150 years ago. That one always causes blacks to flock to the Republican Party

After you convince them they are in slavery, then you can tell them about all the great things Republicans have planned to make their lives better

Easy....convince people otherwise

Republicans are not a "white mans party" show why 90% white is not a white mans party. Explain why only six blacks have been elected to higher office by Republicans in the last 100 years

How many have run under the Repub party,if only ten ya got nothing if hundreds have you would have a point.

Show the relation ship between party and who ran where and when .Then post your findings.
