My exact sentiment about Liberalism.

The exponential growth could also be a result of better reporting practices and increased focus.

As more people are trained and employed to gather/report data, they become more adept at ensuring the data is accurate.
You can expect to increase over time as policies and procedures for the data collection and assembly improve.

To what degree it would be hard to tell.
There could be significant changes in protocols that account for changes, added to a more moderate increase in occurrences, making it look like an explosion.

As pursuant to the Progressive control, the problem existed in 2011.
I am simply pointing out that as a system advances it often becomes more adept at identifying occurrences.

In no way would that suggest that the multitude of occurrences is unsubstantial.
The reports indicate there is a serious problem in 2016.
I was simply indicating there could be additional factors that explain the extreme exponential growth in reports.

Analogy:
If you hire 100 more officers who write a 1000 more tickets, it doesn't mean that more people are speeding, or that writing tickets makes people speed.
