This is the potential of not enough government regulation.

Government grows until it takes over, like weeds in a garden. It is what we are experiencing today. We have a regime that tells us to do it there way or else.
I watched a special on gov. regulations and the stacks after stacks of new rules and regulations were up to the neck of the reporter. The statement was made that a normal citizen couldn't go through the day without breaking at least one rule. Stop with the damn rules.

So according to your statement you think a plant in China would purposely run a "dangerous operation" for profit??

Taking that one step further, you think destruction of equipment and loss of production would actually be profitable??

I don't even need to read the story to see where this illogical train is bound ........................

Hey uh OP, you did read these explosions were caused when the fire department used water on a dangerous chemical wharehouse.

The chemicals that were stored were water reactive and reacted violently with water when mixed.

In the USA, it is SOP for local departments to pre plan sites prior to fires.

You can not predict a fire, but you can canvas an area and pre plan potential sites of problems.

In our case, dispatch would have broadcast a "be aware" when dispatching the call out, and alternate instructions to act on.

Intelligent people have contingencies plans for unpredictable circumstances beyond their control.

You see has nothing to do with government unless China's fire departments were owned by the government and in that case they would actually be culpable for more damage than might otherwise have been.

How did you say this ties back to the right??

You do realize China is communist correct??

So once again what about this involves the right or the left for that matter??

Why do you keep doubling down on these ignorance shows??

still with that lie, Republicans don't want ANY regulations. Like all them Regulations PREVENTED the very gumberment agency that imposes these business strangling regulations ON US, the GODS some bow to the: EPA. from causing a disaster in our river that we are now going to have to PAY for cleaning it up.

this country is hopeless. they act like they can't wipe their butts without government.

Not that all government regulation is useful or necessary, but all too often, those on the far right tell us there is no need at all for government regulation of business.

You're full of crap. No one says there needs to be no regulation of business. That's anarchy, not capitalism. But I understand, can't let a crisis go to waste.

There are some out there who actually want almost no regulation of business.

No, but many businesses will cut corners if they think it can save them a buck, regardless of the consequences. What happened in China was an extreme example of what can go wrong when there aren't responsible regulations of business.

What an ignorant thread. Chinese businesses are RUN by the government, you fucking idiot.

That's probably true but not the norm. Some guys would turn pristine mountain lakes into bubbling cesspools of corporate greed if they could and most folks know it. It isn't reasonable to use them as the standard.

The Chinese government would be neck deep in this company so yes, it is the governments fault, and the fire dept. something tells me they have government controls as well.

No, that is a lie, no one says no regulation since the primary role of government is to keep the citizens safe...this would be covered by that, and to resolve disputes between two or more citizens.......government doing it's job isn't the issue, it is taking over business that is the problem...here...you have government control, even in the private economy and you can bet the government officials involved in this are going to be shot.
