The question is simple, Hitler could not be stopped by partisans (which is essentially what pro 2nd Amendmenters claim they are), the French Resistance (well organized and supported by allied governments with financing, command and control, and weapons) could not defeat the Nazis in France and in analysis did almost nothing to defeat the Nazis in France.

There is nothing in the text, history, or case law of the Second Amendment that 'authorizes' private citizens to 'overthrow' the Federal government, the Second Amendment doesn't 'trump' the First, nor does it abrogate the voting rights of all Americans, a minority of Americans may not seek to defy the will of the majority who take no issue with their Federal government.

The First Amendment guarantees the people the right to petition the government for a redressof grievances through either the political process or the judicial – not by 'force of arms'; the Second Amendment offers no criteria as to when government might become 'tyrannical,' it makes no provision to ensure the majority of the people approve of 'overthrowing' the Federal government, and it codifies no provision of law 'authorizing' the suspension of the courts or the vote.

The Second Amendment acknowledges an individual right to possess a firearm pursuant to the right of lawful self-defense, unconnected to militia service, not to 'overthrow' the government for subjective partisan reasons.
