The KEY metric to measure the condition of humans is longevity. Compare lifespans worldwide now to 200 years ago.
The reality is that a lot of "poor" people today live longer, healthier and more comfortable lives than did wealthy people back then.
I will make a distinction between the wealthy who are rentseekers feeding off of big government connections and taxpayer money vs. the wealthy who make money by providing something of value to those who are willing to pay for it. You got it all wrong, I am all for a flat tax rate for all. No expenditures for anyone, everyone pays the same rate. Does that sound fair to you, or am I robbing from the uber wealthy in your mind?
