TP Nutcase Cruz Ready To Shut Down Government Again Over ACA In January

Cruz is only concerned about Cruz. Unfortunately for him, there is a world that exists outside of TX; and that world doesn't like him.

Cruz is only concerned about his constituents who hired him to stop Obamacare. This is the heart of a representative republic. Plus, it is clear how horrible this law really is. Sticker shock, web site inaccessible, personal information being lost.

OMG, problems with the website! Well, that's it - scrap the whole law because of glitches on the website.

Guess you missed the whole aspect about sticker shock & personal info being lost. But since you bring it up the admin only had 3 years to get that right. It's indicative of the law itself.

It amazes me that a Republican representative can get on TV and proudly announce a quarter of the people in their district has no health care. They seem to be happy to see these people suffer.

And your solution is to interfere with a woman's right to make her own medical and health care decisions? Why is it that you are ok with punishing a woman who decides to make her own medical and health care decisions when it is an inalienable right to make one's own medical and health care decisions?

What does Mary Jones being free to purchase health insurance to meet her own personal needs have to do with people who have no health care? Eh?

Why are you ok with forcing Mary Jones to purchase federally approved health insurance?

Ted Cruz faults his party for agreeing to 'lousy' deal to reopen the government

This guy is a real nut. What the hell is it with Texas? First we have this and then we have the other nut that tells disabled Vets they haven't sacrificed enough.

.

Quite Frankly?

There's no way for him to do it.

Both leaders of the Republican party, Boehner and McConnell have said this isn't going to happen again.

It's done.

It will be interesting to see how Rove tries to keep Cruz from stealing the 2016 Pres. GOP nomination. Karl needs to be careful. If he makes Teddy angry, the man might go off and run as a TP candidate.

I do not envy Mister Rove in he quest to keep TP loons from crashing the party again...

I don't think they are going to step in on this..if that's happening.

And that's probably the process.

They want to shake these guys. Best way to do that, is let them have their way for a bit.

Like closing down government. They did it..they got burned..and it isn't going to happen again.

Oh man..

No one is forcing anything on anyone.

There's a nominal tax penalty for an opt out.

And that's basically un-enforced.

TC will have more support in January since Odummercare will continue to melt into a smoldering heap of dung

With another possible government shutdown looming on Jan. 15, 2014, if Republicans and Democrats fail to reach a long-term compromise on the budget, Cruz would not rule out the possibility of once again threatening a shutdown unless the Affordable Care Act is repealed.

Asked about the fact that he has faced public ridicule from his colleagues in Congress, including many members of his own party, Cruz said he’s only concerned with the opinions of his Texas constituents -- not his fellow senators.

It won't happen.

Two things; SML McConnell said it wouldn't and Cruz cannot build coalitions due to his constituency which demands he not compromise; ironic.

As for Texas...what is the old saying? Go south until you smell it and west until you step in it. Runaway profits for oil companies based there (Exxon) and still the #1 state for childhood poverty; sums it up nicely.

Really? Where were you when he read The Cat in the Hat on the Senate floor? Where were you when his dogma led the loons in the House to shut Government down? Where were you when he critisized his own party in the Senate, alienating his Leader? The man is a walking disaster for the GOP.

It seems everyone can see it but you Steph...? How is that?

I agree with all above

Thanks for pointing out the virtues of TC

And you just can't make this stuff up.

The same anti abortion crowd doesn't give a fig about it.

People are not required under threat of a penalty to buy federally approved health insurance? Last time I checked those who do buy federal approved health insurance will have a fine imposed upon them. Why punish people, especially women, for wanting to exercise an inalienable right to make their own medical and health care decisions?
