The question becomes - why do we even have a debt limit if it's not enforced? All we do is "raise" it so it's not really a limit. It's just a temporary suggestion.
And before all of you radical wing-nuts start screaming that "the GOP raised it under Bush", we all know. And neither party is right for the irresponsible spending.
I have to ask - is there any amount that becomes unacceptable to Democrats? Is $20 trillion ok? $50 trillion? $1 quadrillion? Is it all just Monopoly funny-money in the eyes of liberals who want to live off of the government teat?
