Trump added 7 trillion dollars in debt, the Republican-led Senate did nothing, now they want to be fiscally conservative on the stimulus?

Something isn't making sense, you're either a fiscal conservative or you're not. Trump was not a fiscal conservative with his spending and inability to balance the budget like Clinton did. When was the last time these "fiscal conservatives" in office ever preside over a surplus like Clinton did?

That's just the way we want it.

The party of so called fiscal conservatism went blank with almost four years of letting Trump pile up debt 7 trillion in debt. The GOP has lost it's identity

Yes. It's about time we considered our massive debt problem.
Is this where the Obama-ites come out like zombies from a graveyard warning us all against excessive spending?

Save your breath because if Joe "Middle Class" Biden is able to steal the presidency the people behind
this Trojan Horse plan on spending at a rate unheard of in human history.

Well I agree with the overall sentment that they are hypocrites when it comes to the tax cutting/deficit spending spree that these so called "fiscal conservatives" let go under a Republican president. But I'm sure that austerity will come back the moment Biden takes the oath of office. We'll be fair here. The deficit was on track pre-pandemic to be 1.2 trillion. A record. The remaining deficit total was a result of the pandemic. And that number is going to get worse before it gets better. Let's be clear Trump is not a conservative. He would no more know how to balance a budget than he would how to run a company...except into the ground. :)

Republicans don't hold the moral high ground on spending anymore.

Yet, here we now have the Harris-Biden ticket that pledges to raise everyone's taxes to cover the cost of a larger government and the Biden Green New Deal, which is the same as the original Green New Deal. Newsflash, not a dime of all the massive increase in taxes will go toward the National Debt.

Oh the irony here. The Democrats (where all spending originates) has been running the House for two years. This stimulus has been stopped because the Democrats want to keep spending more on pork and the Republicans don't.

We still need to do something about the debt. My idea is a consumption tax, say ten cents on every dollar. It's wrong that only a small part of our country pay for all our spending. It's about time everybody paid.

Yes it is, after their Kenyan lawn jockey grew the debt ten trillion.
