2020 was a shitty year and Trump paid the price for it. 2021 has been a shitty year and Biden is being blamed as Trump was for 2020.

The biggest difference is that Trump was dealt a horrible hand with COVID in the last year of his presidency. The economy was going to plummet no matter what or who was president. Biden took over when the economy was already starting it’s recovery but his policies are very damaging to the economy and the labor market.

If the supply chain issues can get fixed and the US and OPEC can get back close to pre-COVID production things will be very different come mid-term time.

Furthermore, the Virginia Republican Party did away with their normal primary and instead held a state convention specifically to prevent a MAGA candidate from getting the nod.
