and your local cops are funded by all the taxpayers in the locality. Jf a tax payer doesn't pay their taxes they are prosecuted and potentially jailed. If NATO members want us to defend them, then they need to pay their legal obligations. If they don't...well, we can't put them in jail, but we certainly don't have to honor the agreement they breached.

They do not. They have been sending ammo and equipment. Germany has moved an Armor brigade outside it's borders for the first time since WWII to a furthest east NATO country bordering the Russian Federation. Many of the Russian aircraft you read or see videos of being shot down are with surface-to-air missiles from the UK. Trump just wants a Russian win. Probably still wants to curry favor, to build Trump Moscow, and he has a history of finance supplied by Russian oligarchs.

Most NATO countries don't have NUKES. And rely heavily on those who do, to put up a MAD deterrence.
