Trump earns his first Unendorsement

Mark Kirk: "black areas in the state are the ones we drive faster through"

That Mark Kirk? He sounds....well.....racist
Didn't you say when you lived in Chicago, you knew better than to travel to the South end? That doesn't make you racist--it makes you smart!

Yeah but I'm not a politician running for reelection in that area. The point is Kirk is screaming racism and ignoring what caused a firestorm in his own district.

Washington (CNN)Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk says he won't talk about race anymore after his comments last week that "we drive faster" through black communities sparked criticism from Democrats.

Kirk made the comments in an interview with the Peoria Journal-Star, when asked his thoughts on encouraging innovation in Illinois. Kirk touted his efforts to foster an "African-American entrepreneurial class," and suggested Illinois could someday be home to a "class of African-American billionaires."
"That would really adjust income differentials and make the diversity and outcome of the state much better so that the black community is not the one we drive faster through," he added.
In a statement issued after Kirk's comments were published, the senator's spokeswoman underscored his work for the African American community.
"Anyone watching network news in Chicago is aware of the frequent killings and violence that affects various communities in the state," said spokeswoman Eleni Demertzis.
"Senator Kirk is active in fighting gang violence, keeping assault weapons of the streets, and works within the African American community to find aspiring entrepreneurs. No one can question Senator Kirk's commitment to the African-American community."

I didn't know you were a Democrat. His statement was taken out of context, which Trump's was NOT.

Trump's remarks were taken out of context. The Judge is a La Raza judge. Trump has every right to go after Curiel an Obama appointee with an agenda. And I hope he keeps bitch slapping Curiel till the son of a bitch recuses himself from the case.

I just wish Trump would shut up about shit and stick to the issues....I'm sick of endless anti Trump threads on here. It's not bad enough one of them reads some BS and starts a thread but so do three other loons. Enough already

Oh the libs have truly lost it over Trump. And it's a waste of space on the front page of politics. They're never going to vote for Trump and they sure as hell aren't going to change any pro Trump voters to change their minds.

Re: the situation with the lawsuit. It's a political hit job. A purposeful one. I don't know how he can avoid the topic sadly when he's had Rubio and Cruz AND Romney and Hillary go after him on it.

I am not going to take sulk-boy's word for it that the judge has made any "unfair" decisions. His attorneys have no intention of motioning for the judge to recuse himself, and believe me, they would if they felt it was appropriate. I hope the opposite of what you do--if Curiel recuses himself due to the appearance of bias, I will be very disappointed. Curiel (and the rest of us) need to stand up to this bullying from our presidential nominee. After standing up to the Mexican cartels, I have a feeling he's not too troubled by Trump, though.

Donald Trump receives his first un-endorsement

Well, I expect many, many more. Especially from those Republicans down ballot who are in a competitive race.

It is a hard thing to say....."I ENDORCE A LUNATIC FOR THE PRESIDENCY!"

Many people saw this coming and tried to tell the RW loons, but they ignored all warning signs.

Kirk thinks that he'll get re-elected if he does this.
He should have switched parties already.
Either way, he'll be a private citizen come January.

Trump is a certified asshole.

5 things to know about Judge Gonzalo Curiel - CNNPolitics.com

(CNN)Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, has called federal Judge Gonzalo Curiel a "hater," questioned his ability to fairly oversee a lawsuit targeting Trump University and suggested, cryptically, "they ought to look into Judge Curiel."

The Indiana-born judge is "a Mexican," Trump has said repeatedly, painting Curiel as a vengeful, intemperate bench presence.

But a simple review of Curiel's public record quickly undermines -- if not outright debunks -- Trump's repeated allegations. And lawmakers from both sides of the aisle, legal experts and civil rights advocates have all denounced Trump's rhetoric.

Curiel himself has remained quiet, his office citing the judicial code of conduct. His brother, Raul Curiel, told CNN: "I know my brother is not taking it seriously. Some other people might ... I think Trump feels that this division is working in his favor but he's actually creating the bigger division as we speak."

Here are five things to know about the federal judge now at the center of GOP standard-bearer's latest round of headline-grabbing attacks
.
1. Mexican drug cartel target
Before he was first appointed to a state-level judgeship in 2006, Curiel worked as a federal prosecutor in Southern California with a focus on drug cases -- and with them, the Mexican cartels...In 2012, Sen. Richard Blumenthal introduced Curiel at his confirmation hearing, touting the judge's "extraordinary experience" and decades in the courtroom. "One of the most significant cases involved the successful prosecution of the Arellano Felix drug cartel, a multi billion-dollar drug trafficking ring responsible for more than 100 murders in the United States and Mexico," he said.

2. Schwarzenegger's pick
"The judge was appointed by Barack Obama," Trump told supporters during a lengthy San Diego speech on May 27, the day Curiel ordered the release of documents related to the Trump University lawsuit..But Curiel's journey from prosecutor to the bench began long before President Barack Obama's nomination arrived in November 2011. Then-California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, a Republican, appointed Curiel in 2006 to the state superior court, where he spent six years before ascending to the federal court.

3. Sons of immigrants: Curiel and Trump
The future federal judge was born in East Chicago, Indiana, in 1953. His parents, both immigrants from Jalisco, Mexico, were naturalized citizens.
Curiel's brother, Raul, told The New York Times his father first entered the country as a laborer in Arizona in the 1920s. That would mean Curiel's father was actually in the U.S. before Trump's own mother (she arrived in the 1930s), who -- like Curiel's -- became a citizen herself after marrying his father...

4. Indiana, born and raised

5. 'I'm not there to make the law'
Trump has sought to undermine Curiel's propriety by suggesting he could not separate personal politics from the law of the land. But an exchange from the judge's 2012 confirmation hearing with Sen. Blumenthal, a Connecticut Democrat, suggests Curiel takes a more measured view of his current role.
How did Curiel, Blumenthal asked, "see the role of a district judge versus the appellate court?"..."As a trial judge I recognize that I'm not there to make the law," Curiel said. "I'm not there to interpret the law, I'm there to follow the law as established by the precedent of our Supreme Court."

Donnie cannot talk about issues. He is a Bully that has survived on demeaning his opponents.

Trump U was a fleecing of suckers, That't the truth of it. It was sold as a "get rich scheme" that used the real estate "secrets of Donald Trump."

The problem is, I will give you those "secrets" for free. Ready? "have lot's of capital." Do this and you too will be able to buy and sell high value real estate at a profit.

Trump U appealed to the greed of people in order to rip them off. A class action suit is fully warranted.

That doesn't change that the La Raza judge is not qualified to preside, or to sit on the bench.

And yet, he joined the Klan. :dunno:

Funny, many nuts on the right see the reaction to racism as being worse than the actual racism.

Trump Tried to Do Business with Libyan Dictator
upload_2016-6-7_19-31-24.png

BuzzFeed: “Donald Trump tried to raise money from the regime of Libyan dictator Muammar al-Qaddafi two years before a 2011 revolution toppled the brutal leader, according to four people with knowledge of the effort.”

“Trump even tried to set up a meeting with the tyrant himself, three of the sources say, to explore business ventures — despite the Libyan leader’s notorious sponsorship of terrorism that killed scores of Americans.”

And the usual blind partisan rightwing hacks chime in with their usual ignorance, stupidity, red herring fallacies, and lies.

What’s sad and telling is that they continue support a candidate who their fellow republicans condemn as a bigot and racist: republican members of Congress from both the House and Senate, including the Speaker of the House who himself denounced Trump as a racist.
