Of those 3,000 I wonder how many died of natural causes. Looking at the death rate I would suggest that most if not all died naturally some from accident, some from drugs. Anyone have the real numbers?

Do you even understand what FEMA's role is? Let me blow your mind on this new revelation. FEMA is supposed to coordinate with other agencies, to ensure all resources have a way and a means to get those resources to their destinations. That way, they know to transport those resources so they won't just sit there. No one ever said that FEMA was supposed to deliver the goods to everyone's door step. But what they did do, is they did exactly like Trump. They threw paper towels at the problem, and their job was complete.

At the end of the day, it's all about attitude and leadership. And this administration has neither.

"No one ever said that FEMA was supposed to deliver the goods to everyone's door step".

Except you, since that's exactly what you're saying.

Yep, according to WTP , FEMA is the governor and mayor of PR and all the cities therein.

As long as she can hate Trump that is - WTP will say anything to spew her hatred of Trump.

FEMA did their part, as they suppose to. They delivered supplies over 1000 miles to the island.

It's another question why Puerto Rico, that is in path of pretty much every hurricane, hasn't been ready for this one, or for any other hurricane? Don't they know they should prepare in advance for disasters like this? But they do know how to print t-shirts ahead of time.
FEMA delivered supplies no one could get to. Some people call that a failure to coordinate with other agencies to assure themselves these supplies have a way of getting to their destination. Pretty radical idea this coordination thing, you know. So no, they didn't do their part, because no one inquired about the logistical hurdles they would need to overcome. Without the infrastructure, the delivery was a big goose egg operation. For Trump, PR is just a shit hole country, so the attitude was never there to begin with. Throw em a few paper towels and off Trump goes.

FEMA delivered supplies from 1000 miles away to the island, military sent ships, aircraft, Navy hospital ship. All Puerto Rico government had to do is to organize distribution.

Since you know "everything", tell us, what exactly was the destination where they had to deliver supplies?
I know from the News that much of the recovery supplies were Hi-jacked by the Government and hidden for use later. This was why the power was not to be restarted. It worked OK until the local government got in the line.

Those ARE the real numbers - the OFFICIAL numbers from now until eternity.
And there is nothing you or the Orange Clown can do about it :)

Negative! There is no "except you". That is a lie. But we did find out that you are unable to read, and that you know how to screw up your own argument.

Again, you'll tell any lie to slander and smear Trump.

FEMA does not govern PR. They provided supplies and support, the GOVERNOR of the island let it sit and rot, rather than distributing it to the people.

Granted that the death toll is probably closer to 50 than to 3,000, but those deaths are on the hands of Rossello who refused to get food, water, and medicine to those who needed it.

Trump administration + botched Logistics = no relief + 3000 dead. Congratulations!

Again lil' Hitler, we have PROOF that FEMA delivered aid. Why did the PR government refuse to help their people?

Whether 50 or 3000, those deaths are on Rossello. FEMA did their job, Rossello shirked his.

Mindless little Stalinists like WTP think FEMA is responsible for providing the infrastructure of Puerto Rico.

Of course the little Hitler also thinks Trump causes hurricanes.

Yep - FEMA is only as good as the instructions that come from and the example set by the top of the food chain.
Even if the top of said food chain is a bottom feeder.

So did he sneak three thousand body bags in then, and forbid filming such a catastrophic death toll? He burned the death certificates right?

The Stalinists can't even come up with a list of names.

Scumbag Occasio-Cortez is lying that her grandfather died in the hurricane. So let's fact check her? Project Veritas, how about it? (The Marxist press sure the fuck won't)

I think they were trying to sell the supplies to black marketeers. They didn't want to distribute aid to the people because there would be less to sell.

We see this all the time when giving aid to Africa.

Here...the truth........Trump is right again...

The politics of calculating hurricane deaths

Here’s where we run into trouble. Look at the description of the methodology they used. It’s based on “a careful examination of all of the deaths officially reported to the government of Puerto Rico between September 2017 and February 2018… using state-of-the-art mathematical modeling to compare the total number of deaths during that time to the expected number of deaths, based on historical patterns as well as age, sex, socioeconomic status and migration from the island.”

They’re counting deaths which took place five months after the storm had passed.

Pardon my incredulousness over such a serious matter, but when did we start defining hurricane deaths in this fashion? When we think of people dying in a hurricane, we picture those who are washed out to sea, struck by flying debris, trapped under collapsed buildings, drowned in rising storm surge waters or even expiring from exposure while trapped on their roofs awaiting rescue. But at some point the storm is over and the immediate rescue and recovery operations are complete. People no doubt suffer ill effects from a deadly storm for some time to come, but that’s largely a matter of how good the medical and social support services available to them happen to be.

And just picture that number. 2,975 dead from Hurricane Maria. It’s not that hurricanes can’t kill that many people or more. It’s certainly happened. The 1900 Galveston hurricane is credited with killing anywhere from six to twelve thousand people (nobody is really sure) because it washed an entire town out into the Gulf of Mexico. But other big, damaging hurricanes in the modern era haven’t been “officially listed” as coming close to that. By the end of September 2005, the death toll of Hurricane Katrina was pegged at 1,033. A comprehensive study done almost ten years later raised the number, but only to 1,170. They were studying people who actually died in or directly from the hurricane. And they were looking at autopsy reports for conclusive causes of death.

This new study of Maria, as indicated above, was looking at the number of people who probably would have died on average in each month following the storm going out to February fo the following year. Then they looked at the number of actual death certificates they could find (no matter what they died of) and any in excess of the projection were attributed to the storm. Five. Months. Later.

President Trump merely quoted the Puerto Rico governor. Where did George Washington U come up with the figures?

They are attributing deaths 5 months out in an obivous effort to make Trump look bad for something he had no responsibility for......

I’m not saying that there was or wasn’t any political bias involved in the compilation of the Milken Institute study, but that’s really not the point. The question is whether or not this is actual science. If you’re suggesting that every person who gets sick and dies months after a storm comes through because the infrastructure is inadequate, or medical supplies aren’t available, or because they were bitten by a dog who might have been too hungry because he lost his owners in the storm, are directly attributable to the hurricane, then… please.

Wrong....Puerto Rico is run by democrats who spent federal money on everything but building up the Infrastructure on the island, and then when the hurricane hit, they stole or neglected the needed supplies....in fact, the Federal Government had to go in and liberate supplies that were being held by corrupt government offiicials........democrat corruption is not Trump's fault.

Wrong....

Puerto Rico mayor, two others arrested on corruption charges

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- A mayor and two former government officials in Puerto Rico face public corruption charges in separate cases that involve a total of $8 million in federal and local funds, authorities said Thursday. The suspects are the mayor of the southwest town of Sabana Grande and the former directors of finance for the northern town of Toa Baja, which has struggled to pay its employees amid an 11-year recession.

FBI arrests Puerto Rico senator facing corruption charges

Authorities say that while he was mayor of Yauco, employees were required to work two voluntary hours a day. The Department of Labor identified this as a violation, and Nazario agreed to pay nearly $590,000 in back wages to 177 employees.

However, authorities said they later learned that the municipality was withholding employees’ wages, despite Nazario’s pledge that he would not retaliate against workers.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Puerto Rico said Nazario benefited from the money withheld, but declined to provide details, arguing it was part of their evidence.

For the last 30 years, the Puerto Rican government has been completely inept at handling regular societal needs, so I just don’t see it functioning in a crisis like this one. Even before the hurricane hit, water and power systems were already broken. And our $118 billion debt crisis is a result of government corruption and mismanagement.
