Trump is lionizing Jan. 6 rioters as 'warriors.' Could the dog whistle be any louder?

‘Donald Trump says the rioters who assaulted police officers in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot are “warriors.” That’s not just wrong; it’s dangerous.
[…]
For months, Trump has called defendants like them “hostages” and “political prisoners,” as if they were being held unfairly by a repressive regime — a grotesque lie meant to attack the judicial system Trump wants to destroy.

But recently he gave the Jan. 6 attackers a more heroic title.

“Those J6 warriors — they were warriors,” the former president said at a rally in Las Vegas. “But they were really, more than anything else, they’re victims of what happened. All they were doing is protesting a rigged election.”

That’s quite a promotion. “Warriors” is a word Americans generally apply to members of the armed forces, not militants who attack police officers with bear spray.’

The judicial system Trump wants to destroy, indeed.
/----/ Got any fake outrage over this, Sparky?

Kamala Harris’ public support for a controversial bail fund continues to haunt her as more examples of crimes committed by those whose release was secured in the name of “social justice” emerge.
The Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF) paid bail for an assailant who turned killer a week later, a habitual DUI driver who crashed and killed a passenger after the fund freed him and a serial arsonist who attempted to burn down a mosque.
The Vice President had thrown her weight behind the fund in June 2020 during the height of riots over the death of George Floyd, asking followers to “chip in” if they could.
The MFF, which was also endorsed by other celebrities, raised more than $41 million that year, but questions have been raised about how it make decisions about who to bail out.
The Post revealed yesterday a two-time convicted rapist was bailed and went on to rape another woman landing him back in prison on rape and assault with a dangerous weapon charges.

Notice that when losers like Adam_Clayton don’t have a way to articulate intelligibly whatever they are trying to grunt out, they rely on meaningless assertions of “dog whistle.”

WTF does Trump know about being a warrior?

There is no general description that accurately describes the January 6th intruders. Some were intentionally making mayhem, some were curiosity seekers, some were vandals...all were pissed off about the election results and the apparent lack of any official institution taking the massive irregularities seriously.

Many deserve pardons, many deserve prison sentences, and some deserve compensation for their ill treatment. The DoJ has generally acted disgracefully, proving that Trump must "clean house" as one of his first official acts when he is inaugurated.
RE: ...all were pissed off about the election results and the apparent lack of any official institution taking the massive irregularities seriously.

Trumps election lawsuits made it all the way to the supreme court.

The lawsuits were heard by judges that Trump personally nominated, and strategically put in place.

Not to mention it's such a stupid and unpopular idea he will only hurt himself more.
It will solidify himself with his base, who already is solidly behind him. So it won't gain him many votes, but may lose votes from the independents, who may agree that some of the January 6th defendants don't deserve to spend years in jail, but would be against freeing the violent ones who assaulted police officers.
