Utility theory says the winner offers the loser $1 which they accept, because that leaves them a dollar ahead. In studies though, seldom will the loser accept less than $25- proving that spite is stronger than utility theory.

Experienced negotiators and the average Chinese person, offer more if they win and demand more if they lose the coin toss.
