Trump lied about not accepting presidential salary

What the hell is the desperate left up to now? They call the President a liar because, according to MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell "he has a poor reputation for following through on his proclaimed donations". Think about this stuff folks. Doesn't it fall into the category of fake news?

No Its not because of Lawrence ODonnell. It's because Trump said he wouldn't take a salary and he is. It's a pretty clear thing to determine.

He's not taking a salary if he donates it to charity.

He said he wouldn't and he is. What he decides to do after going back on his promise doesn't count as a promise kept.

Just reported by Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC as follows:

According to Trump, he is going to accept his presidential salary and then donate it to charity at the end of the year. Problem is - Trump has a poor history of following through on his proclaimed donations. In addition, this will allow Trump a rather huge tax deduction of $158,400. This means that a total of $558,400 will not be returned to the Treasury (taxpayers). This all assumes that Trump will "actually" donate his salary to charity at the end of the year.

$400,000 Presidential Salary
$158,400 Trump Tax Deduction
$558,400 Total Loss To Treasury (Taxpayers)
If he gives the money away, he's not lying. Constitutionally, he has to draw his salary.

Trump could return his salary to the Treasury. President Obama returned 5% of his salary to the Treasury.

Trump could opt to donate his salary to charity or return it to the Treasury: he wouldn't be the first President to do so. When John F. Kennedy was President, he donated his salary to charity, a practice he continued from his days serving in Congress. Herbert Hoover, a self-made millionaire, donated his salary to charity, too. And in 2013, Barack Obama, who famously announced that he had just finished paying off his student loans a few years before he took office, agreed to return 5% of his salary to the Treasury after the government shutdown affected the pay of federal workers.

He is required to receive pay.

He asked the media to help him decide where the money should go.

You guys are just pissed because the one world order queen, Hillary, didn't get elected. Get the fuck over it and stop with the fake news shit. Or better yet, I guess you should keep it up and ensure more Dem losses in 2020.

the loss is NOT the entire tax deduction only the amount of tax that would have been paid on the amount deducted

it seems you don't understand income taxes very well

I agree. The only Shittingbull understand is Trumphate. LOL

Trumphate was created by Trump himself because of his never ending lies.
When are you people start realizing that Trump is just a piece of shit.

Nah. Trumphate was created by a bunch of sore losers who's party ran a stupid, careless and incompetent candidate.

Hillary lost. Trump won. Get over it.

Only a snowflake would complain about a charitable donation

when was the last time a democrat president donated his salary to charity?
If Trump wants to donate to charity, why doesn't he just do it ?

Why run a scam where he gets a write off for not accepting salary?
He is doing it

and it's not a scam it's perfectly legal kinda like the dems favorite rich guy only paying himself 100K a year and then complaining that he doesn't pay enough income tax when he could easily pay himself 5 mill a year and pay a shit ton of income tax

You have a link showing where he has changed this lie for another lie?

Last I knew, he said he was donating it - meaning he was taking the money and then soaking us for the tax write off.

RWNJ traitors are so damn gullible.

I really don't care what Trump does with his presidential salary

we waste way more than that every year

Trump is grandstanding about how generous he is to America and then takes a big tax deduction

So agree with me and end all charitable donation deductions

and in reality that money and the tax deduction are the smallest of the smallest potatoes compared to the money we waste every year and the 20 trillion dollar debt

Obama donated to charity and took a tax deduction too you know

Shillary wrote off Blow Job Billy's used cum stained skivvies

so can the faux outrage

Trump is a liar because we can document over 100 lies just since he took office
ALL politicians are liars

It is more than impolite to refuse a gift and Trump knows that. He will deposit his President paycheck in his checking account and then donate it to a charity of his choice. Trump is a generous, kind and honorable man from the bottom of his feet to the top of his head. : )

He's not taking a salary if he's taking a salary :cuckoo:
No, he's not taking a salary if he gives it away.

He is still taking it or he couldn't give anything away. This isn't new english here.

Ohh, general unspecified disagreements. Nice, I wouldn't ask you to explain yourself for fear of your head exploding. Stick to general insults. It's what clowns do best.
