You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. The Roosevelt Reservation line subjects 60 feet back from the US/Mexico border to federal jurisdiction. There's 1,250 miles of Texas/Mexico border. That translates to 14 square miles to station troops in.

If you don't think you can disperse 15,000 troops into 14 square miles of territory, you're fantastically ignorant.

As soon as Trump was elected, illegal immigration dropped significantly because all his tough talk had discouraged many from attempting to come here, and all this tough talk now will motivate the Mexican government to work harder to prevent a situation in which US troops will have to fire into Mexican territory to protect the border and it will discourage some of the members of the caravan to drop out and accept Mexico's offer of asylum. In addition, of course, illegal immigration, the caravan, is a winning issue for the Republicans in the election. If Trump hopes to run for a second term, there is no way he can allow this caravan to enter the US, and the tougher he talks now the more likely it is that he won't have to order US troops to use lethal force to stop it.
