President Donald Trump's poll numbers are sagging in three key Midwestern states, with only around one-third of voters surveyed saying he deserves to be reelected in 2020, according to new NBC News/Marist polls out Wednesday.

The poll indicated that 28% of registered voters in Michigan, a state Trump flipped in the 2016 presidential election, say he deserves a second term. Some 62% of voters polled believe it's time to replace Trump, the poll found.

In Minnesota, a state Trump lost to Hillary Clinton by fewer than two percentage points in 2016, roughly 30% of voters surveyed say Trump deserves another go-around in the Oval Office, while 60% said he doesn't.

Thirty-one percent of voters in Wisconsin are in favor of a second term for Trump, while 63% say they are not, the NBC/Marist polls show. Trump flipped Wisconsin in 2016 with around 23,000 votes.

Not to worry. He caved to Germany over tariffs, so they will buy the soybeans

Which is a good thing, really. But Trump will probably flip back to hating Germany and loving Putin after his Midwest trip

Yep, tariffs are hitting a lot of folks in the wallet that voted for the Orange Bratman. Buyer remorse can be a real MF sometimes.

Registered voters, not likely voters, and a margin of error in which that could make the difference. But don't take it from me, take it from Nate Silver:

That was a long windup, so here’s the pitch: Polls of so-called likely voters are almost always more favorable to Republicans than those that survey the broader sample of all registered voters or all American adults. Likely voter polls also tend to provide more reliable predictions of election results, especially in midterm years. Whereas polls of all registered voters or all adults usually overstate the performance of Democratic candidates, polls of likely voters have had almost no long-term bias.I use the term “bias” in the statistical sense, meaning an indicator that persistently deviates from experimental results in either direction.

Registered Voter Polls Will (Usually) Overrate Democrats

As we have seen in the past, polls are so accurate. I know everyone loves to look at these things however, this far out they are really useless. I guess it validates some peoples feelings.

Agree, tariffs is a big part of it. For every steelworker he saved 10 have been lost by people who use that steel to make stuff.
But they are also figuring out that Trump doesn't care for blue collar workers and that his 1.5 trillion in tax cuts benefitted them about enough to buy a new muffler.

Even though no mufflers were bought that you know of.

Just more talking points. the media is a proven liar. They use polls to prop up democrats and attack republicans. It's just a sham

/——/ Well after digging through your link and the NBC News/Marist poll article not one word about the demographics of the poll. What are they hiding? Random poll of 300 adults? Over sampling of democrats? What are they hiding?

Before you break out your party favors.......

Poll numbers like this are meaningless.

Why?
Because Congress's approval ratings have been BELOW 20% for years now... yet the same corrupt-inept assholes win year after year.
Approval ratings do not, in the slightest, have anything to do who people vote for.

All we need to do is look back in history to see what tariffs on steel does to the car manufacturing industry.

The bush boy put tariffs on steel in 2002.

A few short years later, the car manufacturing industry collapsed and we had to bail them out. Don't get me wrong I wanted the bail out but none of it would have been necessary if the bush boy had not put those tariffs on steel.

None of what we're enduring and will endure is necessary.

What I find so disgusting is that he's using socialism to bail out farmers. The same people who voted for trump and tariffs. He clearly said he would impose those tariffs in the campaign. They knew it was going to happen. They voted for it. Now they're whining about it. Now they are forcing the rest of America to pay for their very bad choice and not accepting the consequences of their actions.

They voted for it. They cheered trump on in the campaign when he talked about it.

Let them live with it. The last thing I would do is use socialism to bail their butts out. Especially when the same people scream they hate socialism.
