Trump WH Revokes Brennan Security Clearance

Illegal = Jail time.... it's an easy equation.
Sorry - fail, dumbass.

Illegal = Against the Law.

People break the law quite often and get away with it due to a technicality...or a President and his own personal DOJ to protect HIS criminals.

It's petty to revoke a security clearance?
Yes. If you're going to revoke one, revoke them all. All the Republicans', as well.
Nah, just the ones trying to fuck over the President. Brenan is a leftwing democrat and doesn't try to hide it.
Dude, you don't do that in grown up land. What ever happened to freedom of speech? Seems a lot of folks were just screaming about Alex Jones not being given enough, but it is okay for the President to pull something this petty simply because of BRENNAN'S politics? So JONES' politics should be okay but BRENNAN'S will be punished and you're fine with that?
But you were absolutely fine with the Jones et al stuff.
Brennan is not engaged in hate speech. He is just criticizing the President, which makes what the President is doing petty and childish.
What does hate speech have to do with anything?

What, did Jones have a security clearance? I didn't say CNN should ban Brennan......that would be the same. He had a security clearance and was trying to undermine the President.....you wouldn't get one if you did that in the first place......
What you said, buckeye, is that it was fine for Trump to pull Brennan's clearance for Brennan being a dem criticizing the Pres. That sounds like a political free speech thing to me. Less confused now?
No, he's not only criticizing, he's undermining the President. He uses his clearance as credibility for spreading false stories. That's not why he has the clearance.

He isn't in the government. He shouldn't have it anyway
Private citizens can’t have a security clearance?
IMO....no

I am retired and still have a clearance
--------------------------- oh look , its a retired 'g man' , gotta get rid of all SPECIAL Privledges for YOU RWinger .
I still know the secret handshake

As does most of the Deep State
wait you're a commie FBI agent?

Republicans, you aren't always going to be in power. Let's see how you react when a Democratic President pulls the same crap...

I encourage any President to revoke security clearance from any government official who leaves their job.

How is that crap?

Then you support screwing over vets and making us less safe..just to cover for Trump's childish antics.
how does that screw over vets. Until this issue came up, I didn't know people kept it......there is no reason to have a lifetime security clearance. It's bad policy and not good to do.

I support no one having a security clearance who doesn’t need it.

How is it screwing over veterans to not have a security clearance, specifically?

Having a clearance doesn't mean you have access.

Almost everyone I worked with that were getting out in possession of a clearance were looking for jobs that required one.

8 Jobs Veterans Can Use Their Security Clearance For
Then why can't they just reapply for the clearance if they get one of those jobs?

So you are another 'gov employee' eh Seawitch ?? And my opinion , when you leave your gov job you should leave your clearance behind and that should apply to everyone as a blanket rule Seawitch .

I'm retired military. I retired in possession of a Top Secret clearance. A clearance does not give you access. Should I have been recalled to active duty, they would only have needed to give me access, they would not have had to go through the additional procedure and cost of reinstating my clearance.

Military personnel are also highly sought after by companies like Lokheed and Raytheon because of their clearances. Why would you want to take that away from veterans? Isn't Trump trying to hurt them enough?

Mulvaney Looks to Weaken Oversight of Military Lending

In his petty, vindictive desire to punish his perceived "enemies" like Obama, he's willing to step on anyone, including veterans.

People like Brennan and others retain their clearance so they can be called upon if their country needs them. They are specialists in their fields. Them retaining their clearances makes us more safe.
Ok, first he didn't remove it for everyone, although I'd be on board.
Second, was Brennan working for Lockheed? no MSNBC, he doesn't need it
and third he can reapply if he does need it
if it's not access, then it should be fine, since he doesn't need it and is not using it.

Reapply when needed.

I get purged from every system at my job if I don’t use it for 60 days.

If I get purged, I request for access as needed.

If former government employees are hired back as contractors for project work, they should simply reapply for their security clearance.

To use a security clearance to leak classified information for personal financial and political gain after leaving government is bullshit.

That’s the point. He’s not removing it for everyone...making this akin to Nixon and his enemies list.

Taking away the security clearance of people like Brennan, makes us less safe.

Well I'm for removing it from everyone.
But he has the right to remove it from anyone, he's the President.
As for Brennan, I think it's a good call, why?
He called the President a traitor (you get the death penalty for that, as you should)
He constantly attacks the President and makes us look divided and weak
He does not offer any help for the President
There is no reason for him to have one.

aw , its a repeat but 'brennan' voted for a communist at the height of the 'Soviet versus USA ' cold war so he showed where his sympathies are . He never shoulda got any kind of government job . ---------- probably the same can be said of many other of 'mrobamas' people .

I agree. Good Lord was there ever a more stupid statement made??

Brennan doesn't work for the US Government anymore. He can't make anyone safe or unsafe. He has no need for a security clearance.

If they do need him then they can issue him a new clearance.

It ain't rocket science. Good Lord.

Shouldn't this shit be automatic? Like Hillary Clinton when she logs in to the State Department Server to scam herself another inside trading situation or pay to play set up should get a message that states......

"Sorry your account has been suspended."

LMAO.... Fun scenario: You've got a crisis in Liberia that needs US intervention ASAP before any US collateral damage is done. Brennon was team leader back in 1996, coordinated a prior intervention effort in that country, knows all the players and constraints. You'll have to wait a minimum of ... what... 220 days to get his critical input and allow him to view classified documents and propose a plan? Dream on :)

How Long Does It Take to Get a Security Clearance (Q1 2018)? - ClearanceJobs
With these kinds of delays you can kiss your national security goodbye lol.

Brennan was also involved in the assassination of Qaddafi, and the quagmire of Libya where he Obama and Clinton actually paid terrorists to stage a coup and then attacked Benghazi after killing Omar. It was these same people Brennan, Obama and Clinton "PAID" who dragged Ambassador Stephens through the streets of Libya.
