Trump, like Bush, is leaving office in disgrace and failure, with a country that is in crisis and devastation. Trump has failed at the most basic duty of a US president, keeping us safe (basically the campaign slogan of Bush in 2004). Trump is passing off the typical GOP clusterfuck disaster and now it will be up to Biden to fix the Trump mess. A common theme in the 21st century.

Depends how you define "Trump voters."

Biden almost certainly didn't win many of Trump's hardcore base.

But he won suburban voters, particularly women by a big margin, improving on Hillary's margins from 2016. That's ultimately why Biden won. So enough voters who voted for Trump in 2016 voted for Biden in 2020 to swing the election.

Doesn't this actually make it more accurate, since there are 6% more Democrats? So when you randomly reach out to 1,000 people, wouldn't it make sense that there would be more Democrats in the sample?

We know a lot of Republicans voted for either Biden or someone else, so the fact that more participants voted for Biden doesn't mean they weren't Republicans.

In a poll like this, they want to know the opinion of all Americans, so why would you insist on a 50/50 split when that isn't the case in the general population? THAT would skew the results.
