There's merit in your observation. Everything about Trump is transactional. He's never had any morals. He's a predator. He approached my 15 year old daughter at the Barbizon in NYC. She was there for interviews with Eileen Ford and other modeling agencies.

Trump's personal demeanour and his manners would indicate that he most likely isn't completely aware of the trouble he's in now. And certainly he wouldn't be consulting with his legal team.

See Trump can blatantly lie all he wants to the public, but his lawyers will get quickly disbarred for lying to a court in official filings.

I'm afraid the situation is well past the point of discussing logical outcomes. Trump will more likely direct his legal team to act and say what he honestly believes are the facts and the truth. His legal team have already compromised themselves by maintaining that the search wasn't legal.

How can they possibly turn back from that claim alone, regardless of all the other nonsense Trump is able to convince his crowds to believe.

Trust me and trust history! Fascism can't be stopped by conventional methods that are within the law. Setting the crowd to motion with violence isn't stopped without bullets.

Bullets were avoided on Jan.6th. by mutual agreement in advance of the coup attempt, but that almost certainly can't be arranged again.

The search of his residence and recovery of classified presidential records proved that to be a complete lie.

Is having classified material in your home illegal or not? They've known Trump has had classified documents for a year a a half. Didn't bother them before. It only started bothering them when Democrats and the left trashed Garland for not doing enough against Trump. Then all of a sudden it was a problem. If Trump had given every single classified document back, he was still in possession of them one year ago. So, I ask again, is having classified documents in your home illegal or not? If so, then why was he not raided one year ago? If they didn't arrest Trump one year ago for this, then what standing do they have in arresting him now, particularly when Hillary and others have done very similar things and they weren't arrested either.

But not in this case, as the emails Hillary had weren’t of nearly the import of the clearly marked sensitive documents Trump took. Hillary’s server would also have had anti-hacking software, which would be unobtainable for boxes stored in a basement.
